I have sympathy for Light... He deserves sympathy and not hate....he was just unlucky.

Exactly what I was thinking. People hate Light but who they really should hate is Kira. Light was just a somewhat normal high school student until he happened to find the Death Note. He didn't have any big plans of becoming a god or anything before that. His biggest worry was just getting into university and becoming a detective. I mean we even saw his old self come back when he forgot about the Death Note. Light died when Kira was born. If anything, all of this is Ryuk’s fault.
