I agree on all your points except for one. Freight in my opinion could be worth - but not necessary a vaccum tunnel. Surface transport is overloaded and expensive if you take into account all the factors. Freight tunnels can offload a significant portion of surface cargo transport. And offcourse it's not meant to transport Rakhi's.

Surface transport factors includes vehicles(vehicles & rail manufacturing, maintenance, fuels), human resources, construction of roads, etc. Majority of it could be done away for a better, efficient, and automated network of tunnels.

@@AnupamVipul Did I, where ? 🤔 Not really. Anyways, yes they would be expensive at first. But I don't think they would require as much of a maintenance as compared to surface modes of transport. I believe a network of maglev tunnels could be super efficient for freight transport. The seed investment could be mammoth, but the payoffs could be significant in the long run. I think the need of any progressive developing economy is to have a super efficient and fast mode of transporting materials and goods. Without surface interference (stoppages, refueling, traffic, breakdowns, etc), faster transport of materials and goods could be a huge boost to the industry and economy. Also I think with Boring company's tunnel technology, tunnelling has become cheaper and faster. Hasn't it?
