I've seen most of the reactions on KZfaq for this trailer. Some people noticed. Some don't. There's a lot to catch in this trailer upon first viewing so it's kinda easy to miss.

People have very short attention span these days. I'm surprised nobody caught the gameplay elements in this trailer. Their bracelets are going to show your HP, the guy stuck under the truck had his bracelet orange, almost red, and look at the other guy's bracelet when he's stabbing himself, it's changing from blue to yellow, to orange. Also, the small thing on their shoulder is for inspecting/exploring/combat. Detects enemies but when they are in combat, it changes from the butterfly look a like shape to a crosshair. Also, the don't move/don't breathe is going to play a big part in this game (IMO) Story wise: The guy on the truck is Mads Mikkelsen's character, and the way I see it, this trailer takes place BEFORE the second trailer, the one with Del Toro. In this trailer, he seems to be helping them, but in the second trailer, he's after Del Toro/the baby. I'm thinking Mads's character gets captured alived and and used to their purpose, whoever THEY are. That's why they kill themselves when they are about to be captured. You can tell this by how the entity quickly grabbed the guy before he got a chance to kill himself. They have no use for them if they're dead. On the other hand, the first and the last trailer seem to happen at the same time or a different timeline. In this trailer you can see Reedus shed a tear but no facial expression, while in the first trailer, you can see him grab hold of the baby and you can see him crying but no tears.

David Hytha Yeah, good catch. Probably took him too long to bleed out. Also, i don't think the creatures can hear only humans, I think it's more about vitals. They are definitely capturing only humans, but kill anything in their way.

nah ill give you my take, There's the big bang which started of our existence then something has happened and there has been a second big bang which has completely changed our world, fucked up animal habitats, created new beings and animals while killing off what we're used to. I think the alien beings are the new species coming into our universe in a similar way to how we came after the dinosaurs. There are other people theories if you want to know about the babies and such.

Actually when you look properly into it you can form some sort of idea of what may be going on. Norman Reedus' character talks about how an explosion gave rise to life, and then there was another explosion. If the first explosion gave rise to life (humans and such) then it's fair to say the second explosion also gave rise to life, except, this time it gave rise to invisible aliens that will devour anything else breathing. The humans cover their mouths and the invisible thing walks away, also, as Norman's character is getting his leg burned he covers his mouth and the burning stops, then the invisible entity goes over to where someone IS breathing. The man trapped ages rapidly as he is getting doused in that oily stuff, he turns into an old man in seconds. The man with the baby in the container attaches a tube to it, then throws it over to Norman's character before stabbing and killing himself. I think that with the technology that humans seem to have in this trailer, it wouldn't be far-fetched at all to suggest that it's possible to inject your memories and consciousness into a baby. I think this is what the man did, he injected essentially himself into a baby and killed himself to be "reborn". Remember the oil? Let's go back to that. It ages people rapidly it seems, so what if the way for humans to sustain their existence, is cloning their consciousness into babies and then getting doused in that oil stuff to grow to an age where they're capable of surviving on their own, thus decreasing the chance of dying? Obviously nothing is confirmed at this point but when you look at all of the pieces you CAN absolutely form something coherent. I don't understand these people talking about how it's impossible to get anything from these trailers, it couldn't be further from the truth.

Death stranding is the story of 2 alternate world's all la stranger things colliding and the beings from that world trying to cross over. Somehow the fetus is the key to humanities survival. Also rain makes life age super fast. The ocean represents our world the the creature floating above it is there's. When Norman wakes up next to a hole that's not a crater but a washed up lake or part of the ocean. I believe this represents how there world is coming and taking over ours. As for the 5 figures maybe it could be your mission in the game to take out 5 figures throughout the open world

Maybe you keep a clone of yourself in baby form which is why they're so quick to kill themselves when the "ghosts" get them, then use the black goo to age themselves back to normal. (which would explain why the guy who rapidly ages says "I can't control it!")

Maybe they genetically engineered humans who can detect the aliens and survive the adverse effects of their presence (rapid aging, inability to die, liquidation), which is why the babies are connected to the alien detection machines and the people. That'd make keeping the genetically unstable babies safe really important.

Timefall. Kojima explained in a recent IGN interview that the rain is from another world, and it speeds up time if it hits you. That's why the plants in the beginning appear to grow and wilt almost instantly. The "time rain" is hitting them. Same with the aging guy, his "raincoat" is not covering his face and he's lying face up in the rain...

sapdude44 no it refers to stranding as in when something washes ashore and becomes stuck , typically it's a live stranding meaning that whatever washed up is alive but there is another form called death stranding where it washes up already dead wich is wear the name comes from

The robot starts working when Norman gets the baby is a nice catch. Yeah, the baby powers the robot somehow maybe. And I agree you would WANT to keep the baby safe at all costs - but the baby can also bring you back to life if you are unable to save it. I don't mean they want to sacrifice the baby on purpose. I believe the main goal is to save as many of them as possible so maybe you'll get the "true ending". And if you let too many of them die you'll get normal or bad ending. But the reason why I think the baby sacrificed its own life to safe Norman is because in the end you saw the baby's pod turn all black and you see no baby inside. And then Normal cried. So yeah, I think it's both save baby but also can use baby as sacrifice to save yourself.
