Edit: Updated theories guys So what I understood from the Trailer -Sam Bridges is a courier -The "Bridges" surname is no coincidence or just to sound cool, Kojima never gives his characters last names, and if he does is because they have a meaning; think about it, Sam "Bridges" people, and maybe both timelines? The courier job only supports this theory -Because of the previous point I'm compelled to think Sam's able to walk in both timelines (a la Doom Slayer) probably because his other timeline self (the squad leader from the other trailer) is still alive -The world is in constant contact with another timeline -In that timeline those beings are able to detect the people in the current timeline (Porter's) and once they touch you, you either start aging rapidly, or get sucked into another timeline -Babies could be clones from whoever carries thme or just artificially produced so in case one of those beings detects you, the baby takes the aging "attack" and therefore is either transported to another timeline or becomes your partner -Those two women in the poster are the same, but from a different timeline, I could even say the fetus she ate is the grown woman in the other timeline -I'm sober, like from a long time that's how I was able to understand all of that Edit: Thank you for correcting me on Sam's last name, updated theory on top

This revealed the most story thus far. I still have no idea what the story is.

Beautiful cinematography. Beautiful song for the trailer. Very heart felt and touching. The world looks lonely and sad with no one around. I'm sure many people can relate since its an emotional experience most of us all probably experienced in our life whether being way from a loved one for so long, or being alone in general. So many questions to be answered. Who are those beings? Where do they come from? What does the baby mean in the incubator? What is Sam delivering? Is he climbing the mountain to avoid the beings? His skin turns red for a reason. What was Lea carrying in her duffel bag? Social Stranding System? Stick and rope... Connecting all others... Around the world, perhaps.. What are in those pelican cases? Void outs? Timefall rain and the crypto bugs? This game is going in a new direction and I think will break new ground.This is so fascinating and interesting to me. Love the mystery about this game and I want to know more with every trailer. This game is indeed very interesting and I must say its my number one that I'm excited to play and experience.. Even though there hasn't been gameplay shown yet, the storytelling through the actors and the cinematography is awesome and has me intrigued from all the trailers. The line up of actors, too is fantastic. That's just me. Side note: I noticed a lot other commenters regarding no gameplay. Of course, gameplay can keep you playing any game. But, for me, storyline / story / storytelling is also an important factor when playing for the depth of a game IMO. And I think Death Stranding is going in this direction especially with these trailers. I want to point out any game can have great gameplay with no real story line which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Take PUBG for example, a fun and great game. There's obviously fun gameplay (depending on the gamers taste) through a multiplayer experience, but there really isn't a story behind it with substance. Henceforth, people still play the game which isn't a bad thing. Another example is Counter-Strike which is a very popular game but really doesn't require a story, just some objectives (defuse the bomb, eliminate the other team, etc.). Just a thought for other gamers expecting instant gameplay. Of course, the best of both gameplay and story is ideal for all gamers. Lastly, just want to add this thought to others. Its like watching a movie trailer, you don't want all the spoilers to be shown right away because otherwise this will obviously spoil the movie itself. Take your time Hideo Kojima and your team and I look forward to your new game. Have a great day!

This is the only game I've seen where it keeps showing something new but still answers nothing and confuses you more. Still on my hype radar though.

I envy him for his creativity. He's insanely talented. So thankful to have lived in his era and enjoyed all of his games. Hideo's talent is a bliss.

I remember when somebody wrote that the deliveries will be just the intro. Well it wasn’t.

Just take a look at the cast: Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen - great, badass actors. Lea Seydoux and Lindsey Wagner - beautiful and amazing actresses. Guilermo del Toro - an excellent director, recently won the Oscar for best picture. We also have Troy Baker, one of the best voice actors, and Stefanie Joosten - Quiet😍. And the mastermind behind it all - Hideo Kojima. This it, chief!

Now I can finally escape the boring reality of being a delivery man by being a crazy science fantasy delivery man! That mad man has done it again!

Thanks to all the players who helped me during the game, this game is a work of art, it's worth every second! :)

And to think, when people saw this footage they thought Kojima was trolling. Yet it turns out this is the actual gameplay loop.

"Give me your hand in life." Once this is displayed, Lea Seydoux (the woman in the black suit) grabs him before he can reach for the picture, perhaps saving his life. "Give me your hand in death." Lea Seydoux then talks about how the "timefall" fast forwards whatever it touches. There are still remnants of the past, but Sam's life before this event is dead. "Give me your hand in flesh." Sam hooks up the flashing device to the fetus pod, which as we saw in the previous trailers, seems to give the characters the ability to more directly sense the black entities. This fetus, its flesh, seems to be more in tune with the current state of the world, allowing others to do likewise. "Give me your hand in spirit." The timefall can't wash everything away. The past just won't let go. The woman who appears at the end of the trailer seems to be the one in the photo Sam carries, but he doesn't remember her. Sam's memories are lost, somehow, but their relationship, whatever it may be, has survived in spirit.

I've watched this trailer dozens of times. Still can't get enough of this. I've gamed for awhile now, and there hasn't been a game this hype (for me) the whole time I've played games. This beats BoTW (which I waited 2 years for), RE2 Remake (which is my game of the generation and probs my most hyped game ever), Mario Oddyssey, and even RDR2 for me. I just can't wait.
