A Gauss Gun accelerates the projectile by using coils, the railgun uses rails.

Nope. In a gauss system the Projectile doesnt touch the rails and there alot of advanced physics going on, but both accelerated the projectile using magnets

@@weeerazer3099 which is what I meant. They both use the same principle: accelerate a projectile at high speed using magnets, sometimes(and often) without propellant, such as gunpowder.

For Tabs: Do WWI Map: grassland Central Powers: 20 shieldmen as a trench, leave 4 gaps. Put 4 m16s in the gaps as heavy MGs Put 21 muskets in 3 squads of 7 Germans Put a pistol guy in front of each squad as a German officer Put another squad and officer at the back as German reinforcements Put ten spears as Austrian reinforcements with a footman in the front as an officer Put 5 cannons in the back as ottoman artillary Allies: 50 musketmen as attacking British infantry 5 pistols as British officers 30 spears as a French bayonet charge with 5 footman as french officers Put 1 m16 as a mobile machine gun Put 15 barbarians as guys with trench clubs Put as many peasants as likes this gets for innocent Frenchmen Put 10 farmers as french milita

Ravenfield battle suggestion: I want you to try recruiting a lot of characters then get in a tank then have everyone follow you. THE GREAT INFANTRY CHARGE LET'S GO FIX BAYONETS CHARGE actually also can you find a bayonet mod that would be amazing to just see a bunch of guys charges behind you (BARON) the leader of it all. (also do this on a land map

A railgun accelerates using rails which has the disadvatage of increased friction and the recoil going perpendicular to the projectile (sideways instead of back) which means the gun will try to rip itself apart with each shot, although using rails is much easier to produce and maintain since its just 2 rails. A gauss rifle uses coils to accelerate the projectile, which has the adantage of being able to turn on the coils ahead and turn them off behind to increase the efficiency of the system, while also not requiring direct contact with the rails such as with a gauss gun. downsides being it is harder to actually set up said efficiency, with the main upside being possible modular design and the fact you can literally just add more coils to increase power ad infinitum (ignoring drag and power limitations_

tip: for planes, if you hold down the throttle down(default=s) as soon as you get on the plane, you can stop the plane from taking off.

a gauss gun uses magnetec acceleration to launch a ferrous material at high velocity (normally being a steel alloy slug), while a railgun uses electronic acceleration, there are several videos on the difference between a Gauss gun and a railgun. Note: the MAC guns from Halo are a combination railgun and coil Cannon, thus the term magnetic acceleration Cannon.

A Gaußgun or coilgun round goes through an electromagnetic coil and a railgun round gets pulled along the electromagnetic rail

You could use the map to confirm as to whether what your looking at is a enemy or an allied soldier/vehicle. Also Baron, there IS a Ratte in the steam workshop, just search "Ratte". Warning though, it's such a pain in the a to move around, and the turret wobbles like hell

Gaus gun charges a magnetic bolt to extremely high temperatures, while also allowing it to be propelled out of the gun by a large electro magnetic discharge allowing it to punch through heavy armor by melting it. A railgun uses magnetic rails to hyper accelerate a metal rod at extremely high speeds without the use of any form of explosive charge such as a regular cannon this highly speed allows you to engage targets at a much farther range than usual, the best use of a railgun would be better suited as artillery due to it have to charge same goes for a gaus cannon but the gaus cannon would also behave similarly to an emp but with a shorter range

The difference between a gauss gun and a Rail gun other than Gauss using coils and a Rail gun using rails magnetically pushes a solid metal projectile out of the barrel this causes a mega fudge ton of recoil as well as takes an extremely high amount of power but can accelerate it up to mach speeds I believe around Mach two or three a coil gun essentially pulls the round forward and out of the barrel meaning that there is no recoil as well as there is no muzzle flash it also generally does not take as much energy although it’s a little harder to calibrate so the round doesn’t fire back at you but also accelerates the round faster than a Rail gun I believe the coil gun accelerates it to round mach five or six

A Gauss gun (coil gun) and a rail gun work the same in principle. The main difference, in a coil gun the electrical current runs through a coil surrounding the projectile which is being suspended in the barrel by an array of electro magnets. This allows it to be completely free of friction and ultimately allows the projectile to achieve ridiculous amounts of velocity upon leaving the muzzle. With a rail gun it’s the same principle but the current runs through rails.
