In addition to the way the stage was lit, was the volume level and Eq of Bidens voice mic. The treble values were much lower, not crisp and the volume I estimated to be at least 3dB lower than Trump's mic, making it harder to hear Biden. This comes from working in a Television environment for over 10 years. I also noticed that the mic was turned off more readily on Biden, than on Trump. You get the 'fish mouth' when that happens. I only noticed it once during the whole program when it applied to Trump, when he tried to speak over Biden. Biden did well with his presentation, as he was facing in Trump's direction when he laid a few barbs onto him, whereas Trump would only look at the camera and thus disrespected Biden. Trump also gave the thin-lipped, false smile, when something negative to him was said, even from the Moderators.

What amazes me, 67% of people who watched the debate said that Trump performed better than Biden. Trump DID NOT answer one single question, and Jake Tapper and Dana Bash allowed him to do so. No more CNN for me!

check out Lawrence O Donnell, who points out who watched it, how many people who might be moved watched it, and when you find the video by media going hysterical over it make a post that says 1) stop using bleeds leads talking points and 2) if you can, post "please vote blue, donate blue at any level, and find a get out the blue vote activity from texting to writing lettters to knocking on doors to participate in!) Physical disability certainly is no hindrance to serving as president. Look at FDR, who served 4 terms IN SPITE of a physical disability that he had before becoming president. Biden's mind is still sharp. Biden may be old but he's only 3 years older than Trump. And he's a whole lot SANER.

Omg. I’m a retired C-PTSD psychotherapist. Worked with homeless Vietnam veterans. I listened carefully to Trump’s speech patterns. IMHO, Trump was schooled in military PsyOps style gaslighting that perpetrates cognitive dissonance/confusion in the targeted victim. He’s been using this with his followers, and increased the intensity of his verbal abuse for the debate. How is it objective intelligent commentators don’t get it? You put that exactly right. Why Im always shouting at the tv. Anyway Id just like to point out that Pres Biden got a lot done even with a Repub House & a weak majority in the Senate. He got a border bill that was approved by both Dems & Repubs that would have relieved some border issues until Trump stepped in his destruct mode to tear it down. I think the mark of a good competent President is someone who is able to work with both sides of Congress, like Joe Biden has.

I'm from the state of Delaware....Biden country. In 1972 I voted for him and every time since then. He has always suffered from sinus infections. He had that far away look when you are feeling very ill. It was late in the evening as well. He had been traveling around the world , in and out of all different time zones for weeks and up to 5 or 6 days before the debate. I look at him and feel that he needs much rest. But the man is scrappy! He still gets my vote. I just pray for his health. Thanks as always dear Maryann🤗

Here in England we have had many debates with Party Leaders, for the last two weeks. I can tell you they get away with nothing from the host of these debates. They are fact checked in real time. If they avoid a question it is repeatedly asked. As a voter, you need a clear picture of their policies and just as important their moral code. What the American people got last Thursday night was an insult to them as voters. What was the point of those two moderator’s? Likewise, i will never watch C.N.N again. They badly let Biden down, and let a con man who is also a felon!! Get off scott free! Shameful.

I'm not seeing it as a disaster. Reagan had a horrible debate and took 48 states out of 50. Obama had an awful debate and we had two terms with him. I figure 90 cruddy minutes doesn't wipe out 50 years of government service. The following day's rally in NC was absolutely beautiful and fiery and the Joe we need and love.
