Just took my E BIKE out for the first time and I had a blast and i pedaled all the time except downhill and I enjoyed it, I’ve been doing walking for quite some time now ,but I also like urban exploration and the E BIKE allows me to still get exercise and check out more remote locations

If you go to timberline or meadows, there’s a bike chairlift that takes you up the mountain. If you go to Sandy Ridge, there’s a paved road built around the trail to help you get up. E-bikes solve a legitimate challenge. People that say E-bikes weigh too much and they destroy the trail. Do you tell heavier riders they shouldn’t ride until they lose a certain amount of weight? Can someone educate me if there’s a difference? Limitations are already established on speed with classes of bikes, and at class 1 it’s comparable to normal high speed pedaling. You can roll your eyes at some teenager using a pedal assist bike to power through the hills. But because the majority of the downhill speed comes from the downhill, I don’t see how class 1 E-bikes are any less safe, or really any different meriting a ban. But I’m open to understanding the differences.

Absolutely NOT. Put it to a vote so the majority can rule. The small percentages should look elsewhere
