Ronaldo has 1 goal contribution all tournament it's not hard to say he hasn't been good. He's the striker his job is to score/create goals and he hasn't been doing that well enough. How Alfie Doughty never got a call up i'll never know. A left footed wing-back with bags of creativity and a tireless workrate. Can play as a more traditional LB. Arguably one of the best crossers in the Prem last season. More than capable defensively. It seemed like a no brainer with the lack of LB options. Doughty and Trent as wing-backs in a 3-4-3 would have been formidable.

You could take Rooney as he is right now and he'd look class in that league (same goes for saudi although that league is a lot more competitive and harder than the mls but still is very low level) And is playing in the copa America with a very good argentine team. I'd expect him to put in good performances. The truth is he couldn't come back to Barcelona and be one of the best players In Europe. He's average and so is ronaldo currently. Accept it.

Both messi and ronaldo aren't the same and aren't the best players in the world anymore not even top 10 in the world in their positions. It's easy for me to accept because I'm not a cringe die hard messi/ronaldo fan like most people are so I dont need to say good about them no matter what and I can look at them with an objective and non emotional view.
