@Anurag Chakraborty An economy can develop and grow only if supporting institutional factors are available. Some of these include a sense of national integrity, flexibility and ease of resource allocation, the rule of law (especially civil law), unhindered markets, efficiency in adjudicating labor and land disputes etc. India has not reached a satisfactory level in all these factors. But, it seems evident that policy direction under Modi leadership recognizes these as important issues. This is a very important sign that points to better times for Indian economy. ( Also, many institutional researchers including IMF suggest high economic growth for India in 2021 and 2022.)

@@ishaansengupta4122 Exactly what I thought !! You couldn't give me one false information from his book and hence hollering about foot notes and peer review . He further submits that Dr. Janki Bakhle has in fact reviewed the book written by the plaintiff in India Today Magazine and has no grievance with regard to any plagiarism." He was targeted for scrutiny because some fellow historians disapproved of the subject of Sampath’s best-selling biography, the story of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Sampath is not your average historian, whose craft has been honed in the ideological settings of institutions or through patronage from the established and recognised ecosystems of knowledge production and intellectual discourse. Of course He did ... !! ... clearly stated that, instead of whining, the whiners should come forward in the bidding war, and beat the perceived monopoly/duopoly of the Tatas, Ambanis, Adanis by offering higher bids ... !!

The economic slide was much before the pandemic.

@@va-ro India is the fastest growing economy now, and before you say it's due to the low base effect, we have a good growth prediction for next year as well. The PLI scheme on supply side incentive will add hundreds of billion dollar manufacturing to India. Look like their economics worked!

If the interviewer is so much concerned about blood and sweat of public money, then why should airline be run under losses by the government. For so many years it's only accumulating debt without any profits. The Government by selling it to Tata's is trying to stop this debt cycle and cutting its losses. Interviewer should ask questions not pass judgments. Privatization is the only way where efficiency increases, productivity increases and more jobs gets created. Nationalisation was the worst thing happened to India. We wasted so much time nationalising and now wasting time to denationalize.

Didn't see any discussion on equal estick opportunity for business,Road map forJob development plan once all growth has been concentrated just only two digit grwoth will be achieved couldn't be answer. No Doubt Government has made it for Their passive income in more structured way. Although privatisation has happen but it's very true to that government has to keep there presence in some or other way. One more thing Government has to keep there own index instead of Google some other agencies perseption.

Well to preface my comment I hate monopoly, but I'd rather prefer a private entity's monopoly than a government monopoly. So instead of hounding on the government to be involved in business, question them on what steps they're taking to regulate and eventually discourage monopolies or duopoplies. Simple! But don't ket government be involved in any business, except for maybe banking and financing.
