Debbie Allen accepts big sis Phylicia Rashad's award for The Cosby Show (1987 Image Award)

4 жыл бұрынThe 19th Annual NAACP Image Awards aired January 6, 1987. Sammy Davis Jr. & Emmanuel Lewis were presenters in the award category "Best Performance by an Actress in a Comedy Series". The nominees were Nell Carter (Gimme A Break), Marla Gibbs (227), Jackée Harry (227), Telma Hopkins (Gimme A Break), Gladys Knight (Charlie & Co.) and Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show). Phylicia Rashad won for her role as Clair Huxtable on "The Cosby Show". Phylicia couldn't be there, so Debbie Allen was there to accept her big sister's award, and of course, Debbie Allen was her typical hilarious self.

@Angel Johnson I am very aware who Bernadette Stanis is. Miss Thelma Evans and she was/is very beautiful and talented I just prefer the Allen sisters that's all.

OK, with this drastic new hair CUT I'm going to perm the bit on top so I can get those curls 💅👅💝 I'm still trying to figure out exactly what a Karen is, but I think she cut my hair off because I went back for a little more to be cut off and she put an Ellen Degenerate on me and there's nothing I can do but perm, curl and let it grow 😧

She had just given birth to her daughter Condola on December 11. That was Season 3 when they hid her pregnancy on the show.
