Jermaine, those of us who are older. we feel the pain and its worse for Debbie because you don't expect someone to pass at 63 when they've bene in your life and timeline one way or another. its uniquely painful. i understand people pass at any age but even though i didn't know Cara personally i think of all the people that i've lost that imagine back in the day would be growing older with me. Irene’s death was hurtful and I didn’t know her personally. I can only imagine how Debbie feels.

She will live forever in our hearts and we will remember her name ♥🦋🌺🕊..And Debbie Allen was my first Black she hero ..watching Soul Train and that ULTRA SHEEN commercial would come on and I would jump up and dance like her, still Beautiful 😍❤🤗

Debbie has been and will always be my first inspiration to seeing what a brown skinned girl could see herself becoming and to dream big because she made it seem possible. Irene was also a part of that. For those impressionable years in my youth, they were always in my head. I watched the movie, but mostly the TV show FAME religiously. I am so happy that Debbie continues to inspire and shape the creative dreams of other girls and boys so that they, too, can know their dreams of dance isn't just a dream. #LOVEUDEBBIE

Lord the effect it has when you lose someone you love in death. That’s a sting in your soul yet it cause you to live life on purpose and more lively than ever in their honor. God Bless you Debbie . Keep doing what you do in the dance and choreography arena. Is inspiring even still.
