Are you being served. Debbie Linden (22 February 1961 - 6 October 1997) was a Scottish-born glamour model and actress best known for her career in England, especially her role as old Mr Grace's secretary in the sitcom Are You Being Served?

Deeply shocked 😲when watching this video as I remember well watching Debbie in Are You Being Served, and had no idea that she had passed away at such a very young age, what a tragic end to a beautiful young woman RIP Debbie be with the rest of the angels ❤ 🌹

So very sad that Debbie passed so young. It just goes to show that appearances can be so deceptive, because I would never think that she was using drugs. Bless her she must have been struggling. My heart goes out to her parents. 💔 😢

One of my favorite British comedies, "Are You Being Served". The laughs I got from this series was plentiful. What a stunning woman she was. Gorgeous. Sad though of how she died and at a young age to. -Jerry

Agree with you re comedy, people also watch this kind of show now and forget it was a different era things change for better or worse. The couple you showed us got me, my mum n dad were young when they met, didn't have a tv till the mid 60s my mum would read to my dad before then he remembers being read the 39 steps

We were so lucky to grow up in the times that we did, to have such great TV shows, lots of comedy show just losts of slap stick comedy, such a shame that we have to watch what we say now before someone takes it to far, thank you to all the amazing people we grew up with to watch on TV. Way to serious on TV now. Thanks Paul for another great watch and for keeping these great people and memories alive 🙏🌹

Just been reading she lies beside her Father who was a Scottish band leader. She asked her Mum if she passed before her if she could be buried with him. Her Mum apparently agreed, not knowing what was to happen. So very sad.

Hey Paul, that was a well put together video. But absolutely heartbreaking too. Are you being served was superb. As a young man I frequently saw Wendy Richard who loved her spare time having a drink in pubs around Marylebone as she lived just off Baker Street in the same block as a former pop star who’s now doing porridge in an HMP. Also I once saw John Inman in a floor length Liberace style fur coat!! In my former career I took Captain Peacock home to Barnes, he was very frail towards his latter years. RIP Debbie✝️

Bless you for all you do Paul..such a lot of travelling, not ideal timing with petrol prices going up so much! We have the complete 10 series box of Are you being served and still watch it. Sadly they have all passed on now, no one left from it. Debbie's death was tragic though, so young. Showing yet again how drugs ruin peoples life. RIP

As a child I loved “are you being served” of course a lot went over my head as I just saw it as a comedy. I Like how you give the facts, no judgment and do this respectfully. The usual grave at the end was beautiful and even tho they are not famous, was lovely you shared their story. Very interesting! Thank you ❤️

I remember when I was a wee youngster we only had 2 TV channels & are you being served was one of them. Even though I didn't quite know what the adults were laughing about she sure left my family in fits of laughter. Rest in Paradise beautiful lady 🙏 🕊🌿💛

Very good. I do remember this lady. We must remember beauty is passing and it is the heart that's most beautiful. Young women who suffer early deaths because of their fear of losing their looks should have appreciated life before beauty .

What a young age to dry and what a fantastic person I remember her in many of her TV roles and never knew she died at such a young age thank you do a fantastic job finding all these famous peoples graves and I was one of the people that worked on the new Guildford crematorium last year never knowing Boris Karloff Was there

Thanks for the video! I’ve learnt two things from it, firstly that I didn’t know Debbie had sadly died (I too used to love Are You Being Served as a kid). Secondly, I live 4 miles from Kingston but had no idea where the cemetery is as luckily, nobody I know is buried there! Having looked at a map, I now know that it is right next to Kingston Council’s refuse tip which I have been to many times! I must’ve driven past the cemetery so many times & not noticed it 🤣 Anyway, it looks a lovely place & I will definitely go & have a wander around it so many thanks for educating me!!

That's given me goosebumps ! I've been researching a particular family line in recent months that lived in Surbiton about 100 years ago, I know many are buried in either Surbiton cemetery and some are buried in Kingston cemetery , although I don't have any details , I also moved to south London near to Surbiton and later worked in Kingston ! The date I moved from my home town to London.........6th October 1997!

I loved watching 'Are you being served' in my childhood, brings back happy memories. I always loved the caretaker played by Arthur English and his product promotion demos. Which included inflating wonder bras if my memory serves me well. Excellent job, keep up the good work and thank you for being so respectful to all your subjects, including ones you havent necessarily intended to go and see.

I new Debbie well, she worked at my boutique Jean Jeanie & Jean Machine in Kingston as a Saturday salesperson 1975-76. This was just before she got into the entertainment industry and the page 3 scene. Deb was in her mid teens and innocent when I new her there was no signs of any drug use just a bubbly friendly person. I remember her telling me around 77 that she was all grown up now? The last time I saw Debbie was in Toronto Canada around mid 80's a totally unexpected surprise. A real shame, I have clear fond memories of Debbie as a gorgeous and beautiful person. R.I.P Deb xx
