Ivermectin: How false science created a Covid 'miracle' drug
www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-581...
BBC Reality Check
But the BBC can reveal there are serious errors in a number of key studies that the drug's promoters rely on.
but thousands of supporters, many of them anti-vaccine activists, have continued to vigorously campaign for its use.
Members of social media groups swap tips on getting hold of the drug, even advocating the versions used for animals
www.nature.com/articles/s4159...
Large pro-ivermectin Facebook groups have turned into forums for people to find advice on where to buy it, including preparations meant for animals.
The BBC can reveal that more than a third of 26 major trials of the drug for use on Covid have serious errors or signs of potential fraud.
The group of independent scientists examined virtually every randomised controlled trial (RCT) on ivermectin and Covid

That’s how they all met on Twitter
They've been working together remotely on an informal and voluntary basis during the pandemic.
Reference please
The BBC can reveal that more than a third of 26 major trials of the drug for use on Covid have serious errors or signs of potential fraud.
None of the rest show convincing evidence of ivermectin's effectiveness.
Dr Kyle Sheldrick, one of the group investigating the studies, said they had not found "a single clinical trial" claiming to show that ivermectin prevented Covid deaths that did not contain "either obvious signs of fabrication or errors so critical they invalidate the study".
Out of a total of 26 studies examined, there was evidence in five that the data may have been faked
On top of these flawed trials, there were 14 authors of studies who failed to send data back.
The independent scientists have flagged this as a possible indicator of fraud.
The sample of research papers examined by the independent group also contains some high-quality studies from around the world.
A recent study in Lebanon was found to have blocks of details of 11 patients that had been copied and pasted repeatedly
they have submitted a retraction to the scientific journal which published it
pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34073...
Study from Iran
Another study from Iran seemed to show that ivermectin prevented people dying from Covid.
www.researchsquare.com/articl...
The records of how much iron was in patients' blood contained numbers in a sequence that was unlikely to come up naturally.
Dr Morteza Niaee, who led the Iran study, defended the results and the methodology and disagreed with problems pointed out to him,
adding that it was "very normal to see such randomisation" when lots of different factors were considered
Ivermectin is generally considered a safe drug, though there have been some reports of side effects.
But indirect harm can come from giving people a false sense of security, especially if they choose ivermectin instead of seeking hospital treatment for Covid, or getting vaccinated in the first place.
Some groups regularly contain posts about conspiracy theories of ivermectin cover-ups, as well as pushing anti-vaccine sentiment or encouraging patients to leave hospital if they aren't getting the drug.
South African nurse dies
Instead of consulting a doctor, she continued with the ivermectin and got home oxygen.
What study are the BBC talking about?

www.nature.com/articles/s4159...
www.medicalbrief.co.za/iverme...
We recommend that meta-analysts who study interventions for COVID-19 should request and personally review IPD (independent patient data) in all cases,
In a similar vein, all clinical trials published on COVID-19 should immediately follow best-practice guidelines and upload anonymised IPD so that this type of analysis can occur.

Kitasato University, based on the judgment that it is necessary to examine the clinical effect of ivermectin to prevent the spread of uncertain COVID-19,
asked Merck & Co., Inc. to conduct clinical trials of ivermectin for COVID-19 in Japan.
This company has priority to submit an application for an expansion of ivermectin’s indications, since the original approval for the manufacture and sale of ivermectin was conferred to it.
However, the company said that it had no intention of conducting clinical trials.

I saved my father, who had laid in hospital for a month on 60 liters of oxygen. They were talking about putting him into ICU and even kicking around he may need intubation. That alone made me get a nearly $1,000 round trip ticket on the next plane, where I flew across country and right away was sneaking him ivermectin, NAC and Zinc... In a couple days I had his oxygen heading south and in 5 to 6 days they were baffled and talking about releasing him. Say what you want, but he is now home safe well.

Not just BBC. Virtually every "Mainstream Media" (MSM) outlet, anything that gets paid by interested parties (usually in the form of ads and shady deals) who basically dictates what should or won't be said. For instance, think that US MSM gets paid hundreds of millions from China: no wonder they can't criticize any of it and must comply to blatantly reproduce and validate Chinese state media propaganda. This is just one example. Whether you think it's good or bad is besides the point, which that discourse by these media corporations is simply skewed, not accurate, ON PURPOSE, i.e. not information let alone deontic behavior given their mission statements.

In the US there is a reason why there is interest by the media and government to put down any treatments. If a treatment comes up, then they could not have used the Emergency Use Authorization for the vaccines. Once you understand that, its very simple to understand why so much pressure was put on to put down anything which might show itself to be an effective treatment of covid. It makes me wonder how many lost their lives due to this obsession over the vaccine.

They did several swabs at the time, which wasn't until I already had been sick 3 weeks because I was "not sick enough." Of course, they all came back as Covid negative. I recently had a blood test and asked them to include covid antibodies. Unfortunately, the results only told me that I had a past covid infection with a current negative IgM and Positive IgG for Covid. I started taking hydroquinone (not ivermectin) 3 days ago. After the second dose, I noticed an improvement in the "long-covid" symptoms. I'm going back to the pharmacy for 20 more tablets. A KZfaq video published on 6 March 2021 featured physician Tess Lawrie, who claimed that ivermectin reduces the risk of death from COVID-19. This claim was based on a meta-analysis and review that Lawrie conducted using 27 scientific studies summarized in a review by an organization called the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC). The video received over 140,000 views on KZfaq as of writing this article. Contrary to the video’s claim, a double-blind, placebo-controlled study by López-Medina et al. showed that ivermectin is unlikely to be effective in patients with mild COVID-19[7]. This study was well-designed and doesn’t possess many of the limitations present in the clinical trials cited in Lawrie’s meta-analysis. Since this study was double-blinded, neither the trial participants nor the researchers knew if they had received or administered the placebo or the drug being tested. This design helps to eliminate bias. That being said, the authors concluded that larger trials need to be conducted to better understand the effect of ivermectin on COVID-19. The video also misleads viewers by suggesting that safety data regarding a drug’s use for one purpose applies to different uses. Although scientists have known about ivermectin for more than forty years and it has been used to treat parasitic infections, this isn’t relevant to the safety of ivermectin in COVID-19 patients. Simply because a drug is safe to use for one disease doesn’t mean that it’s safe to use for another disease. Physiological changes produced by one disease doesn’t translate to the same changes in the case of another disease. The differences in physiological states can mean that the drug is safe to use for certain diseases, but not others. Indeed, many drugs have contraindications, or conditions in which the drug shouldn’t be used because it can harm the patient. In short, while ivermectin is safe to use for treating parasitic infections, this doesn’t automatically mean it will be safe for COVID-19 patients. Furthermore, we also don’t know how ivermectin may interact with other drugs given as standard treatment against COVID-19 and the risks associated with these potential interactions. Therefore, it is misleading to claim that ivermectin is safe for COVID-19 patients on the basis of its safety for treating parasitic infections. Overall, given the lack of evidence supporting ivermectin’s efficacy and safety, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration doesn’t recommend the use of ivermectin for COVID-19. The Infectious Diseases Society of America also doesn’t recommend the use of ivermectin against COVID-19.

I'm going to post this above, but here's my advice after worrying about where to go if I need a doctor: find a family clinic and just ask them what their standard of care is. If it's normal and actually based in science, come up with a planned response for when you feel like it might be COVID coming on. Stay away from the big drug stores and find a local pharmacist. Now, I'm in the least vexed county in my state, so it might have been easier for me to do this (people with cattle know that a herd is meant to be milked or killed, so they're not into it). But a good local pharmacist might help anyone. They might be a little cagey at first, but I just asked "Do you know what the standard of care for COVID treatment is at the hospital here? I want a plan for the winter and don't want to get suffocated to death like a New Yorker." That's how I found a family clinic. From a local family owned pharmacist. This could be easy if we just all walk away from the big boxes and chains.

We the "unvaccinated" are the new Jews. The following is an article of what the Nazis did to the Jews in Germany. What I've done is changed every mention of the word Jew to "unvaccinated". See if you can see the comparison in relation to today's events: When Hitler became reich chancellor on the 30th of January 1933, he wasted no time on beginning the Nazi plan of targeting the "unvaccinated". This begin with a campaign of boycotts of "unvaccinated" owned buisnesses facilitated by the muscle of the SA storm troopers. The German Parliament passed a series of anti-"unvaccinated" laws, starting with the law of restoration of the professional civil service on the 7th of April 1933 which took employment rights from the "unvaccinated" public servants and reserved state employment for the "vaccinated". What followed was a systematic evil assult on human rights including forbidding the "unvaccinated" from sitting University exams and prohibiting the owing of anything such a bicycles to pets to precious metals. 1935's Nurembergs laws defined who was "unvaccinated" and who was "vaccinated". They stripped the "unvaccinated" of citizenship. All n all the Nazi regime enacted some 2000 anti-"unvaccinated" decrees, effectively prohibiting all of the "unvaccinated" from taking part in of all facets of public and private life, from work to entertainment to education. The "unvaccinated" were vandalised and burned and killed in the violence and 30,000 were arrested and subsequently sent to newly built concentration camps.

Surely you can't be that myopic @@Shelmerdine745, to believe a company like Merk (who incidentally sold, a haemophilia medication, that was designed for children to the French government, knowing full well prior to the sale that it had been made from blood contaminated with HIV, causing thousands of french children to contract HIV as a result) you think they wouldn't put profit before patients? Especially when you consider the fact that in late 2018 Pfizer bought Merk shortly after Merk had bought monsanto Pfizer by the way, holds the world record for the largest corporate fine ever given to a company of $4.3 billion in 2012 for their swine flu vax that killed thousands of people worldwide. Do you honestly think that Pfizer would allow merk (who you've now learnt that pfizer owns) to render their main cash cow, netting pfizer alone $3 trillion since it's rollout, utterly pointless to allow for a treatment that makes them nothing in comparison? A vaccine, i might add that they will rollout every 3 months like clovkwork, because now they're trying to make it so you've no choice but to take it by law? Are you beginning to see how calling that person a liar, who clearly knows more than you do, might make you even stupider than you already are? Remember that sometimes even vaccinated people get extremely sick. And yes, many of us are looking forward to the ACTIV-6 results and the Oxford PRINCIPLE results. That article probably still has some value though. It mentions overdose cases in several hospitals in one US state . Then "some guy" on twitter got feedback from one doctor in one of the hospitals stating they had no such cases. The twitter guy then proudly declared the article debunked. So in any case, considering there have been people out there taking the non-human versions of ivermectin it's not unlikely that across an entire state there were at least some people getting ill and checked into the hospital. In conclusion, this is one of the many cases where both the source and the debunkers are kind of problematic because the original article really doesn't properly quote sources allthough their claim may still be true.

The original man who mentioned the stress on Oklahoma hospitals - Dr. Jason McElyea - later said he didn't connect Ivermectin and hospital workload in his interview, and said he was misquoted by the reporter, Katelyn Ogle, who seems to be the source of the claim that Ivermectin overdoses were crowding ERs and preventing gunshot victims from being treated. Two Oklahoma hospitals then issued statements saying that no, they were fine, no ivermectin cases, and gunshot victims weren't going untreated. Then the director of the Oklahoma Poison and Drug Center, Scott Schaefer, said he had 13 cases on record that month in the state, but only 3 of them went to hospital. The other 10 were treated at home. There might have been other cases, but he wasn't aware of them. It all does seem to have been a storm in a teacup, if not a fabrication. In any case, the moral of the story (aside from journalists being dubious) seems to be 'don't exceed dosages', not 'don't take it'.
@DeathByStupidity9

@@AlAtar360 I partially agree. The articla that I spea of had exactly one source and that was a random doctor, claiming on twitter that the ER of his hospital was overwhelmed by "horse paste overdoses" and people with gun shot wounds had to wait because of it. That claim was checked, and was completely made up. If there are cases where people overdosed with ivermectin, then we need sources, that can be verified and are shown to be true. And hey, the wold has plenty of idiots so the number will likely not be zero. But when it comes to this topic, we have seen the media lie to our faces to often, so I go with "pics or it didn't happen".

Thank you for your genuine appraisal of these facts and matters :). I particularly noted the suggestion in the article you called out about IPD. I will comment about something, but the comment comes with a "pinch of salt" in that it contains "impressions" rather than a concrete matter. It seems like the pandemic is being used as an excuse to errode personal medical privacy. It feels like , perhaps, the younger internet generation has lost (or never gained) understanding of the importance of privacy to ensure fair treatment to all people regardless of their status (which seems to me why past studies have anonymised patient data excepting for individiual consultation, and makes sense in the light of history). Whilst I do sympathise with a drive for caring for all people, recent times appear to show a definite majority who reflect their own fears onto the behaviour of strangers (e.g. others are their danger, gives them the right to dictate). I am glad to say I find your channel a great escape from this and I applaud your good sense (IMO).

I have to commend the impeccable way in which he conveys and expresses his concerns and remarks though. I haven't heard a more subtle, diplomatic yet incredibly clear way of wording things in a very long time. I immensely appreciate John's choice of words in every situation. The attention to detail and boundaries is spectacular, I can't stop admiring the sharpness of his mind.

let's face reality. if they want to, they can & there won't be a single thing you can do about it. this is what happens when the gov't allows free range of these tech outlets without any oversight. they let the monster loose & now they can't (or more likely won't) control it.
