This is the engulfingly greatest rendition of Debussy's La Mer!!!! You are a most intelligent Conductor with, both, scientific and poetic inteliigence and discipline!!!! Art is something to be taken seriously, and, all over the World, Humans of your calibre, must be the only ones, upon whom to be relied for the "bringing to life in sound" for the Work of a Composer like Debussy---- who is also an intelligent, deep, and serious Human, like YOU, MAESTRO!!!!

Oh! how fantastic Debussy It is, this is the 2 nd time for me to listen to French Radio Philharmonique conducted by M.W.Chung. I enjoyed in so much colorful sound, French articulation is veryvery beautiful. (soon be 91yrs.Japanese) sorry strange English.

My brother was a childhood friend of Myung-Whun Chung in Seattle, WA.. He went by "Billy" back then. He lived across the street from us and used to treat my brother Franz to the movies....A generous young man and such an incredible talent!! So proud of his achievements!!!

Myung-Whun Chung est, pour moi, le plus grand Maître, c'est un magicien qui nous transmet ses émotions, ressentir le bonheur des musiciens d'être sous sa direction... il m'insuffle le bonheur de vivre - Merci, merci ❤❤

I absolutely adore how Mr Chung slowed down the finale of the first movement. Really creates the feeling of majesty of the rising sun above the sea.

A unique and magnificent take on Debussy's marvelous evocation of the sea; Maestro Chung's slower than usual tempi and attention to details and clarity of balance revealed many things I had never before heard, truly wonderful.

Wunderschöne und detaillierte Aufführung dieses impressionistischen Meisterwerks mit perfekt kontrollierten Tönen aller Instrumente. Alle Soloinstrumente klingen echt schön und bezaubernd. Der intelligente Maestro dirigiert das ausgezeichnete Orchester im gut phrasierten und relativ langsamen Tempo sowie mit sorgfältig kontrollierter Dynamik. Einfach wunderbar!

I am always impressed by the mastery of Mr. Chung and in this performance more than ever. Music ,pure and sincere, no big gestures and yet the result is breathtakingly beautiful

Bienvenue! Tcheck "prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune" du même compositeur, tu vas te régaler. (et nocturnes, aussi...) Et écoute aussi Eric Satie. Tout ça c'est du miel pour les oreilles et les neurones. :)

@@BenzemonstreENTs mdr tu me rappelle le directeur de mon école de musique qui trouvait que Tchaïkovski était le début de la décadence musicale, alors qu'aujourd'hui encore on fait des choses musicalement incroyable. Après peut être que tu as raison je connais très très peu Satie, je sais juste que j'aime moins que Debussy :D

La Mer is well suited to Turner’s seascape paintings La Mer is unparalleled by any other sea music This orchestra’s splendor of words can not attach it

@@ametrus D'une, le pseudonyme de la personne à laquelle vous vous adressez semble venir droit du Québec et là-bas il n'est pas rare d'avoir à s'exprimer en Anglais. De deux, si cette personne veut être lue par des Anglophone où tout simplement une plus large population que la francophonie, C'EST SON CHOIX! Et rien ne nous prouve que cette personne est francophone. Ni son pseudo, ni même ses approximations de langage très courantes et ce dans toutes les langues. Bref, fermez-la.
