Set up in 1948, this old radio service centre in Hyderabad is thriving in this new era of digital world. Today, where new technology emerges every day, this radio service centre in the streets of old city of Hyderabad has been able to sustain by repairing old, antique and vintage radio sets.

sir mere pass old murphy ka radio hai.jisme maine 12 volt ki suply laga diya tha jisse ic kharab ho chuki hai jisme 2 steel transister ic lagi hai kis number ki ic laga sakta hu plz reply

I had been to him to get my radio-cassette repaired, but without going into deep he said he cannot repair without its part which are not available at present. So all the way from Mumbai to Hyderabad was in vain.

Thinking in practical terms, buying old/ repaired/ refurbished radio receivers is not a wise idea. Since the technology used in these receivers is outdated and the spare parts are no longer manufactured- running them would be next to impossible. You buy a beautiful Philips Valve receiver, recently repaired by spending a fortune - it performs well and suddenly one morning you switch it on and find it dead. You run to the seller he tells you that a Valve has become defective and spare was not available....it could be a resistor or a capacitor or a diode but finding a replacement is a herculean task..
