Three NEW perks have been introduced to Decaying Winter. And in this video, I'll be covering (albeit bare bones) the three new perks with the information I've learned since they were introduced. Also, if you want a VERY specific guide... just look at the comment section a few days after this releases. There will be PLENTY of information down there. And I'll know who does and doesn't read the description.
Have you ever wanted to play solo in a game? Well, this is not the game for you! This game is punishing; it's horrific, it's TRAUMATIZING... and uh, fun to play if you have meat shields- PFFT I mean friends. I mean, what else are friends for?
Anyways, I hope my "very in-depth guide" of the newest perks will aid you on your future journeys throughout the world of Decaying Winter. Good luck!
Decaying Winter is a wave-based survival FPS game on Roblox. It consists of gathering supplies, praying you don't get killed at night, and then repeating the process. Albeit very scary and scary and... did I say scary? It's ultimately a GREAT GAME! I should log the amount of hours I've played because this game is addicting as hell.

I’m pretty sure there’s optimal wire spots for certain comps and waves generally the later the wave the more agressive and forward you want to put your wires, to avoid scavs being able to fire before they get ensnared In a frontline comp cross link is going to be pretty hard to use, waht I would advise would be to block off some entrances and stall for a frontline like berz to clear

Fun fact for drifter if you find a flare trap far away from a crowded with scav's area you wanted to loot you can use the tp to trigger it from a distance for safety and maybe even clear some scavs wich are already there Edit: minor spelling mistake and forgot to mention right click is best used to finish off your ability on the last enamy available

Drifter is extremely good for looting and also for going on a rampage to kill. Drifter's ability can be useful though since if you cloak a teammate they can still do actions like healing and is a quick getaway from problematic situations but you cannot do actions as the Drifter while you have dread equipped. The thing with teammates is though that the cloak lasts for a short time for them.

Attacking cancels cloak if you do not have dread equipped. Right clicking heals 10hp

Drifter is a 'number thinner', a perk whose role is best to take out enemies (prioritising gun scavs for the sake of making peoples lives easier) and then backing off and letting the better fighters do their job

I have no clue why drifter is listed as frontline, Apostle has abilities to manage it but drifter's lower health and no defense buffs make the melee damage buff very dangerous to use, kinda like immolator now that I think about it. Anyway, especially on later waves where gun scavs are plentiful, having at least some ability to manage guns besides a shotgun or bow is useful.

Crosslink wires work on sledges, not sure if it affects stun time since I don't know the normal stun

I am a Drifter Main and I agree with the exhaustion part, I dont have to deal with 4 morale + exhaustion problems, especially when I have no Nico-nico Kneecaps. I also can just scout areas with the long F press so I wont get jumpscared everytime I enter mountain and slow down still tryna activate dread.

This helped me a lot for apostle cus now with apostle I soloed the game (not the true ending tho) with apostle thanks to the healing helping alot

Apostle also has a 5th hidden pro and con. The pro is there immune to hangers effects. The con is with the theourgias hand equipped infection rate is increased

Cultists see through drifter skill, not sure if the cloaked buff works since it's seperate from the drifter cloak

Also, using bows as apostle isn't the best option since you can't hold crafted knives and thus can not craft quivers, so unless you craft a new bow everytime you run out of arrows, you cannot refill the bows themselves (unless you have a teamate that's not playing apostle)

Bow plus a wood branch refills it, you dont need a quiver

@@diamondboi2393 Bows can be refilled by interacting with branches on the ground, regardless of bow type. Quivers are useful, since they can be safely dropped at the safezone and can be used a total of 4 times. Their throws also deal impact damage, which allows for SICK QUIVER kills, but that's up to preference.

For Drifter, you can slash up to 5 times if you spam it, not hold the attack button.

I've noticed the UI and HUD being smaller than usual and fits more on the screen, how did you set the resolution? Think you can make a tutorial about it too?

Oh! Really? I haven’t done anything different. However, my monitor IS 2560x1440p, not the traditional 1080x720p. So maybe that affected the overall UI/HUD somehow.

@@JoshJonya Roblox does follow the scale size of the windows, that will certainly depend a lot, and will affect all games as well, allowing to fit way more on the screen. Question is, are you playing with a TV as monitor? Cuz I am lol (1984x1080)

I do not think Apostle is the most responsible, I would say Crosslink is more responsible for setting up traps at base. But you never mentioned Dave's ability to parry gunfire and get immunity to gunfire at about half health. You also forgot to mention that when a teammate dies, Dave will copy their look/avatar to become a Shadow Hunter version of them.

whats the best equipments for the three new perks? i use throwing knives alot for crosslink and i use tear gas for apostle to help my daves in battle but what about drifter? i dont think throwing knives is the best for the perk cuz he can just use his ability and go stealth or avoid enemies

It should be throwing knifes cuz they do more damage when you are undetected, and drifter's cloak gets you three free 1 shot kills.

Throwing knives, you can 4 hit and 3 throwing knife a sickler... also knives do more damage if you are undetected, ie the cloak

so for equipment for drifter the best is throwing knifes (if you are going for the lab ending then do tear gas) since you can not only save up your ability but if you are in the cloked state after your ablity ended you can use the throwing knifes to get some more kills thanks to the cloak buff

READ THIS FOR TIPS Tips crosslink works better with mindflyer since on hit they deal a smige damage good for the dude Another for vagabonds main u know you need those dog tags also with hivemind croud control Fire c4 punji works with crosslink solo Drifter is good at dealing single targets Better let him/her handle the bigger enemy slege good for luring sq best perk to get apostle riskrunner works as well but im not "risking" it no exhaustion is op Apostle: dont use gun farming perk basically tankyApostle Click f to summon mini sikler/sadboy that not sad anymore Once summond click f to mark enemy on long range mini sikler will go to that direction and kill marked scav works on anything as long as it hits it gl on hitting hidden marking some one will take hp but uppon successes kill it will return Hanger will not fuck with u but will still attack If u can reach this to the devs pls change mindflyer less cost at crafting it never works change that u get more metal in scrapper cuz a billhook is still 100 scrap with mindflyer just like the others Wanna here somthin stupid I did not know u can use the vagabond skill even not in 100 percent i feep stupid when i learned it also pls how to long shot blitzer i did it once and i got dopamine overload

How do we claim the perks after doing the challenge, I did all the challenges and it said it’s complete but I didn’t receive the rewards, still finding a way. I need help

The perks are automatically claimed for you! Just check the “perks” tab and they should be unlocked.

Supposedly it’s what the community calls them. I propose we use your method of naming and make it a universal rule for anyone whose account/name relates to “Dave.”
