We're firing so many arrows and bombs it's like a laser.
I don't want to give too much away, but we get some incredible DPS upgrades today that really make for an interesting run against the new bosses.

Its concerning how he forgets things so quickly, the triple shot tripled his attack speed, so the next buff would have tripled effects and isn’t actually scaling, thank you DF for being so entertainingly oblivious

That and Gluttony, literally every time he sees them, he picks them and gets killed by them. Pattern recognition not this boys strong suit.

imo what does get him killed is picking penetration and not target deputy, since having only bounce makes a bubble of arrows around you instead of just endlessly going behind the enemy that already had all the enemies killed behind him

I guess the upgrade that makes the bullets bounce on the corners of the screen would be a lot better than the missile. Would have given him more coverage.

DF seriously has the game memory of a goldfish. Every time he takes the upgrade to focus fire on deputies, every time it surprises him when it makes things more difficult. Hahahaha

It's more that he stacks it with piercing, it works out pretty well if you only have bounce because the shots will end up bouncing all around you , but once you add piercing to that they tend to end up staying in that general direction or flying completely through without bouncing at all.

My favorite part of this is that even though he realizes that upgrade got him killed, there's a 99% chance he chooses it again next time anyway. Definition of insanity and I'm here for it.

You should unlock that character's special ability it's the one that causes your shot speed to increase as you stand still. I don't remember how to unlock it but it tells you on the character select screen.

When DF compares his crossbow to a mini gun, he’s actually not that far off. His crossbow is firing at ~1680 rounds per minute, which, for reference, is FASTER than the German MG42 from ww2

As much as imprecise shots affected his overall damage, the deputy target was what killed this run.

I decided to pick this game up and see how far i could get in endless mode. In my first two attempts, i barely beat the last boss. On my 3rd attempt, i had a really strong build and went into endless mode. I went up to level 55 without any struggle at all until my entire steam deck crashed. 10/10 good game.

Yup, picking up that second pierce was a mistake. The logic seemed good, but the arrows being prevented from going offscreen with fewer pierces was better actually.

I once reached 186 Attack Speed, Had Triple Arrows and turret so way more Arrows than my PC could handle... The game died Like 20 mins later...

yo df can you do the giant fat nuker build someday? if you remember each hp added with the skill you got early on increase your size and give 10% increase in damage so it goes up exponentially..(only way to move if you do is to dash though...so be warned)

The bane of this build, as I thought it would be, was focusing your attacks on deputies. You literally shred them, you don't need it. As soon as the swarms started showing up, it became a massive problem because the whole point of the built is that you're shooting every enemy around you so quickly that they can't get near enough to hurt you. You had to waste upgrades to protect yourself and not to enhance the build even further, which is where the build became un-recoverable, thus ending the run, eventually.

legend has it if you complement his voice fgor the 33rd time, you get pinned. DF, your voice has more firepower than any intercontinental ballistic missile.

dps is attackspeed mulitplied with attack damage. Going for only 1 thing doesn't work well.

%5 crit chance is the best among the common upgrades I still don't get why you're not going for %100 crit. The dmg upgrades gives diminishing returns but crit dmg is percentile so it keeps up infinitely

Technically the crit damage is diminishing as well, because going from 500% to 600% would be the same as going from 50 damage to 60 damage, so a 20% increase. And if you go from 1000% to 1100% it's the same upgrade, but only 10% increase. Also you need both anyway, because doing 1000% crit damage is nice and all, but it's still a doubled if your base damage goes from 50 to 100.

I unironicly think less piercing would have been much better for this build. If your arrows bounced around forming a perimeter instead of shreding in a cone you would have been fairly safe even with the target deputies augment. Which by the way, you've gotta stop takeing that when you don't have reliable secondary damage sources. It's essentially suicide (which I could understand that being the point to give the video an endpoint)

I wonder if DF will ever realize that going all in on attackspeed totally kneecaps his damage output. Gluttony is one of the most broken perks but no - why would you stack your damage to 1k+ with really solid attack speed, when you can shoot a ton of arrows that barely tickle. Also, 0 infamy...
