One thing a lot of people don't seem to mention is the fact that this young Arsenal side should (in theory) only get better and they've gained valuable experience from competing at the top last season. The new signings should improve Arsenal as well. City have a couple of players that are getting on a bit : De Bruyne, Mahrez, Walker. Gundogan has left which is a huge blow IMO, Kovacic certainly won't replace his goals. I think next season could be even closer.

As an Arsenal fan, I can’t rate this window yet. It depends on who we sell too. If we sell Partey, we are making a big mistake and if we don’t replace him, we are gonna struggle to even make top 4 in my opinion. Arsenal signing Declan Rice even with him they still might not win the premier league title but getting a player like him strengthens that first team even more. They’ve signed new players and replicating what they did last season will be difficult because no one expected Arsenal to fight for the premier league title and be top of the premier league for 8 months unfortunately missed out on the title due to a late crumble towards the end of the season and that’s why they’re getting new players to bolster that first team and have the quality depth in certain positions like the defense in order to cope with the long season when key players go down with injury. More importantly Arsenal are capable of another title run next season they play outstanding football they find ways to break down opponents they play possession counter attack know how to break down teams that defend deep and that’s a skill and we saw their ability to fight until the last minute that’s the mentality of a team that could win the league even if they failed to do so last season. Despite signing Declan Rice Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber I still have every feeling that Manchester City finds a way to win the premier league title once again for the 6th time in the last 7 seasons. To be honest I think Rice should not play as a CDM. He's very very good but he's just a CDM. Not someone special. Last year Rodri, Casemiro, Partey at least were declared better than him. I think as a CB he'd be a better & more influential! I always believed that dominating the midfield will win you the games & ultimately the titles. And now where 3 men midfield is almost in every team you need a team with almost 4 central midfielders. As this is very difficult to make it happen then you'd need an old style (libero) CB.
