Hey friends! Today I'm sharing with you a video that took me 4 days to film. I got lots of work done around my home in those 4 days which includes a good amount of decluttering off the surfaces and high traffic areas, doing some much-needed cleaning and tidying before the holiday! I needed this just for the relaxing way you create your videos and watching something besides my usual content. Trying to enjoy this Christmas season has been hard. Our son was born 6 weeks early and is in the NICU. We’re just praying he will be home in time for Christmas. And I just lost my sweet great grandmother at 104 years old last week. It’s been a joyous but also painful time this year. Thanks to anyone who read this!

Couldn’t tell if you did this, but window cleaner, newspaper, and a bit of the ashes from your wood stove makes the glass of the wood stove suuuuper easy to clean. Doesn’t scratch (obviously use the very white fine ash and not chunks) but takes off that caked burnt stuff quickly! Used this trick my whole childhood with a wood burning fire place!

I love how real you are with what you show on these videos. I watch your channel all the time and I've tried to get better with cleaning and organizing my own home but I'm a law student and it seems to just become a disaster again in a week and then I don't have the motivation to clean it again. It's nice to see that you still have messes that don't get addressed right away even with how solid your cleaning and organizing routines are.

🎉 Wow, my kitchen needs a deep clean I'd been forgetting about and watching you do yours has finally made me actually want to do it so I can have the visual satisfaction and feeling of cleanliness and productivity too. Thanks! Tip for the couch scooting: have the back legs of the couch sit on the hard floor, not the rug. You'll get more usable rug space and hopefully less slipping. Go back like a foot and a half; you've got the room and it'll make better use of your great rug space. I'm excited for you to get your office all set up and pretty and organized! Love how you did the menu. Clarification: how have you had sweet potato casserole? Some preparations are better than others, and I favor the ones heavy on brown sugar that leave you with soft sweet potatoes.

My house had been total chaos the past year. I just haven’t been able to stay on top of it. I finally determined that we just have way to much stuff. I’ve been decluttering and purging so much lately, especially with the holidays coming up. It’s been nice to have actual blank spots around my home and not having so much around.

🎉 Hi Natalie I love the way you not afraid to show us real life. When I had my first baby 1980 my elderly neighbour told me to “always prioritise the children as housework never ends as they grown up so quickly” and they did, so I did housework when they were at school or in bed, you home school so you get to spend lots of time with your kiddos I wish we could have done that, it wasn’t a thing back then. Hayleigh is so cute and I love how she loves to help you. I’ve never had sweet potato casserole or pumpkin pie we live in 🇬🇧. It’s been a lovely vlog you always put so much effort into everything and how lovely you were able to invite two more friends for thanksgiving xx

Love watching these videos for motivation and I absolutely love that you encourage people to get up anc clean or declutter with you. I feel like I comment this on every decluttering video but reminder for everyone.... Donate towels and blankets to animal shelters or rehab centers! I work with animals it instantly makes our day when people donate old blankets but are still nice and fuzzy for dog noses and cat paws to enjoy!

We ordered a book shelf off amazon for $125 dollars that faces the books outward on top and has storage cubes underneath. I only keep about 15 picture books out and then switch them each month. Keeps them fresh and the kids love being able to see them and put them away quickly.

I certainly know the trials of the low back couch. We had one for around five years, and it wasn’t treated nicely by, not just the kids, but I think everyone leaned on those back cushions and ripped them off. So much repair! Man I was happy to get a new high backed one!!

I always hated sweet potatoes casserole. But found a mock recipe of Boston Market sweet casserole. Just make it once and try it. Its seriously a huge family request now. I just love it

Hi Natalie, I'm a few MONTHS behind on your videos but I think it would be interesting if you ever showed us how and when you change the filters of your vacuum cleaners. I love sweet potato casserole.. Lol I am the only one in my family though that likes it. I have a really hard time with the progress over perfection. I am trying though to just do some every day instead of it all having to be done at once. I'm having difficulty getting into my Christmas cleaning. I know of myself that I do better when I am down to the wire and it HAS to be done.

To clean the glass door of your woodburner you can use some of the ash from the fireplace, works like a charm👌

Southern sweet potato casserole is a must. But if you are referring to the one with marshmallows on top I am with you about “worst.” Try pecan brown sugar topping sometime, it makes all the difference!

This past Thanksgiving I tried something different in the pie compartment. Instead of the usual pumpkin pie, I went with a sweet potato pie with a crushed walnut crumb pie crust and coconut whipped cream. Kids ate it like pumpkin pie...oh, I gave them the finger lick test while I was preparing it, then told them what kind of pie it was after they ate seconds and thirds! ;) 🎉 I always get motivated to declutter while watching your videos and light a fire under me - since we need to set up the Xmas tree in the week before Xmas next week.

Sweet potato casserole is EVERYTHING!!! But we don't eat it as a side - it's been serving as our only dessert on Thanksgiving, and we're more than happy to keep it that way.
