I absolutely love how you and your parents made several scrapbooks of your childhood! My parents never did anything like that for me. What I would give to have a few photos of my childhood room and other things. Such a blessing to have and I’m going to do that with my 1 year old and 3 year old for sure!! Loving your content!

If you (or an employer, college, etc) ever need to verify your degree, they will ask for an official transcript from your college and not your diploma (which is so easily altered and really just a sort of keepsake for you 😃) (I used to work as an academic counselor at a college and this was a common question. Great video!

Also not arguing with you on it, buuuut you may want to keep the veil for your future daughter’s wedding. I think it would be something small that’s sentimental for her and works with the “something old, something new…..” tradition. Just an idea 🙃

Haha, I knowwwww, but I don’t even know if I am going to have a daughter! 50:50 chance lol. If it were nicer or it had a story I would totally save it for sure. 😊

Marie Kondo helped me the most with this. In her book she talks about how the memory, exchange, person, experience (whatever it is that makes the item sentimental) IS what matters & that will stay in your heart & mind no matter what - letting go of a physical item won’t change that. She also recommends decluttering every other category first before sentimental items to build that decluttering muscle. I tried that and it worked for me because I had confidence in my sentimental item decluttering choices because I had already done my clothes, books, household items, etc. Idk if that helps at all! I also just am a person who naturally likes letting go & moving on so I think it’s easier for me than most. I’d say above all don’t put pressure on yourself & give yourself time and grace. 💗💗💗

@@savannahsdwyer Thanks. Wow, does she really say that? I must have completely missed that as I pretty much know her book by heart (😆 or at least I think so). Yeah, you’re right, I’m meant to do it last so maybe I should just leave it for now. Thanks for the suggestions. I’m a pretty sentimental person with lots of attachments but I’m learning to overcome them little by little but that’s just how I’m wired.

@@leastidyworld4365 Maybe that's just how my brain interpreted it LOL. It's been a few years since I read it. I remember her giving that point of view when it came to books & then I applied it to everything else because it resonated with me. Gotta love Marie Kondo!
