Here in Brazil the expression "cut to the chase" is "vá direto ao ponto" (something like "go directly to the point"). And the expression "be in hot water" is "estar em maus lençóis" (something like "be in bed sheets"). For us "burn bridges" is "cortar laços" ("cut the bow", I think) and "burn the midnight oil" is "madrugar" (I don't know if its term has a translate to english" kkkk)😅
