is crotchet hard??

@@kitty79er There is a learning curve, but there are so many great KZfaq tutorials covering every kind of stich and lots of great patterns to follow along to. I only started in March with one of those super chunky chenile blankets cause I saw it on a tictok. 🤣 Since then though I've made little jelly fish, whales, butterflies, a planter with a plant, and am currently making my 1st sweater. My advise would be 1) start with light colors as those easier to see the stitches when learning how to do them. 2) find a project that excites you cause you are going to have to start it over several times 3) Just have fun, the cost to start is super cheap (it's like $6 for a set of hooks, stich markers, needles to weave in ends) and if you make a mistake you just have to re-do it nothing is ruined.

Also for the website they actually do let you make like a midpoint in between two colors so you can customize the pallets as well I use it a lot for my own personal Art and Design stuff

I was literally just thinking that I'm going to use this for crochet! I always pick the same color scheme and this will be so helpful.

I think the reason there's so much complaining about heat/humidity in the Netherlands, is that ACs are not so much a thing here, especially not in houses. Also, we really like complaining about the weather, it's like ournational sport 😅

@@kleineanna13 There's nothing wrong with it it just makes me laugh hahaha I think everyone loves complaining about the weather. It just feels similar to me complaining about the cold in California when its known for having good weather year round. 🥵🥶

central and north europeans went crazy after this year's hot weather because they're not really familiar with hot and humid weather. they're built for colder environments. while everyone complains, we're drinking hot tea 24/7 in 35⁰C+ humid weather loll they wouldn't last an hour here😭😭 (but also i start freezing to death under 0⁰C so i think we're even😭)

A decent amount of the US doesn’t have it either. I live in a place where it regularly gets into the upper 90s and 100s (Fahrenheit) in the summer and almost no apartments here have AC. My window units carry me though the summer. The US is extremely large and every area is different.

What part of Europe are you in? Does all of Europe not use AC? Does it not get hot there? I’m in Southern California and I’ve lived in a few apartments that didn’t have AC because “we’re close enough to the beach” but I could never manage year-round in those apartments. I’ve always had to buy portable AC units and it’s always made me mad

It is very unusual to have air conditioning here, and to be fair, it's only recently we've started getting heatwaves in summer as a regular thing (thanks to global warming 😡). I obviously cannot speak for all of Europe, but I have visited the Netherlands, France, and Italy, and it none of them seemed to use air conditioning, instead simply opening windows. Again, not every single citizen obviously, but that seemed to be the cultural 'norm'.
