You can in fact use the tractor beam to move cargo into the c1, but you have to deploy the turret first. It moves down the rail to look down

The more and more I use it, the Vulture really is a solid starter ship if one is willing to fork over the extra cash. Atm, you can net 420k per run while salvaging panels. It has cargo room for other cargo, gun racks, storage, bed. Just no fighting in it lol.

You can see why Drake is a fan favorite company with their wide variety of uses and general flexibility. It's hard for me to even look at other, possibly better, options because I have had such a good experience with all my drake ships. Started with a cutter and quickly bought a cutlass soon after. Since I first saw the corsair I knew it'd have to be the next tangible upgrade from my cutlass.

Medium ship Freelancer MAX has 122 SCU cargo capacity... The Freelancer DUR has 28 and its own fuel generator both come with decent turrets too

The Nomad have an Locker for your stuff inside... So the part about going outside and that crab for a helmet is kinda a big miss. And please remember that all ships will get fixed up to gold standard, which the never ships logicaly is closer to

3:59 storage is at your right Hand for weapons, means there should BE a Button for a weapons rack In addition the Nomad can carry a ROC mining vehicle

IMO, the weapon racks are a huge hassle to deal with. Smaller ships with smaller racks are fairly easy to stock from a box as it takes less time, but something like the A2/M2 armory is a huge PITA. The big issue here being that you can't hand weapons while in armistice zones, even if just to put them in a weapon rack. You have to grab a stor-all container, load whatever you think you're going to need into it, and then head out of armistice. Then, one by one, drop them out of the container onto the floor, pick them up and then place them into the armory. One. By. One. I hope that at some point we'll be able to at least move weapons into racks a within armistice. I won't hope for any sort of insurance on whatever you have in a rack though.

I won a free Rambler from a racing event. I thought i'd end up melting it or upgrading it. After using it since 3.22, I'm pretty sure im keeping it forever as my go to solo ship for exploring or just traveling long distance. What an incredible ship! Looks cool, has utility, and has a crazy big fuel tank for the size ship it is

C1 tractor beam can be use all the way inside the ship. You can also deply/retract it to have it position above you re ship, giving you a full 360 above the ship ( not sure if its intentional). you can remain in your ship never having to leave it. cabin doors can be lock to.

I played around with the Nomad about a year ago. It's a decent solo ship if you're just going to do some low key simple missions (delivery/bunkers). You can easily store a few boxes in the cargo area (one of which can be your personal gear) or a ROC for mining.

The Nomad has a gunrack and storage just a heads up.

Yes, you can stea-.... I mean transfer cargo directly into the C1 cargo bay.

Maybe you missed that, but there is a feature about the Cutter Rambler i really like and wish more would have that: in the gunracks, you have storage for guns on top, rifles in the middle and a dedicated space for extra medguns below the rifle racks. Thats a big plus in my book too.

I have found out that the internal storage of a C2 for example was reduced. This is now forcing you to use boxes. Well, I bought two 8 SCU boxes to move components. I had the boxes disappear from the ships grid do not know why but I see this as a growing pain for a lot.

Drake Caterpillar might be the best for loading cargo, with its multiple cargos modules that open from the side, and a dedicated tractor beam turret, I feel it was made for the update.

I think you need to research your ships better mate, many errors. Cutty black, has the side doors so accessibility is far superior.

I solved the Cutlass Black vs C1 Spirit debate by buying both. I love each of them for different reasons, though I generally take my Cutlass out for ROC mining while keeping my C1 for general travel since its QT drive is so fast. I haven’t done any freight hauling in it yet, ironically.

On the C1 spirit, I like to loot bunkers. I loot all the armour and guns off the bodies and they easily fit in the internal storage (which seems to be massive)

I always hated the fact that there was no real lighting making those gun racks so hard to find. How hard is the idea of a proximity light that activated when you entered the ship or approached the door from the inside?

tha caterpillar wasnt even mentioned, its considerably faster than the c2 cutting trips in half, the m2 is also faster than the c2. i would take a reduced cargo amount for that trade.

gonna be interesting to see if they fix the cargo pod rooms for the carrack. AINT no way u get anything larger than a smal/medium box in with a gravgun from the bridge doors. they need to open oup from the outside like they are supposed to

Cargo weight should be a factor for some ships but it seems weight isn't a problem yet

So far, I have yet to figure out how to loot a box and drop an item on the ground without using the legacy inventory view.

All the ships in the Cutter line have an annoying amount of cargo storage, and just cargo bay in general - if there was a side entrance, the entire cargo area could be used for cargo, giving it around 12-18SCU I would think. Also annoyingly it can't quite fit a ROC in - it will go in, but it's hanging out the back and glitches around with the door shut. Nomad can carry a ROC nicely, wish the Cutter could too, there's a lot of wasted space in the living part of the cutter that could be condensed a bit, like all the weapon racks everywhere filling up walls, and the massive toilet cubicle bolted on taking up a HUGE amount of space - there's much bigger ships with far smaller toilets! Needs a proper redesign honestly.

I'm actually surprised the golden boy for manual loading didn't make an appearance, the Caterpillar is literally designed to be loaded as quickly as possible.

Nice comparisons, but I would have loved to hear about some 'catches' with some of the ships: In theory, I personally prefer the Spirit Series over the Cutty. In practise, the single entrance and the gawd damn footprint of the Spirit makes it close to unusable. Take off and landing is like performing brain surgery. In theory, I prefer the Corsair over the Connies, but while the Connie handles decently for such a large ship, the Corsair is just a brick. And the damn wings .... you WILL break them off on a regular basis. I kinda missed the Caterpillar for XL vessels, and the MSR for L. MSR is a great allrounder, but again has that single entrance, that useless elevator and way too fricking many/long corridors. But it can run a decent amount of cargo, is easy to load, fits vehicles nicely, and can run data whenever that will be coming. The Cat might be a fan favourite now that modularity is on the horizon. I personally would love to see "merged" modules, like a 3x1 cargo module to more effectively use the space, and maybe incorporate larger doors. The Cat is one of few ships that has the potential to be the ultimate jack of all trades, master of none: None of the modules will excel at their jobs compared to other ships, but you get many.

I had to stop watching after first ships, because you got the Nomad wrong saying it has no personal storage when it has guns and armour storage. Can we get a redo? 😂

for comparing i would have liked to see the C2 go up against the Caterpillar, since the C2 and M2 are almost the same ship anyway

Not sure why the Star Runner wasn't mentioned in the medium roundup. It kind of has everything and does everything well. It just has the dreaded useless elevator and peek-a-boo hidden passages.

Really have to assume many of these ships will be getting upgrades/changes when they phase out the general storage. Connies need all sorts of work. They are from back when SC was a different game.

i think the caterpillar will be the games best cargo ship once its tractors and doors work right you can have like 50 people at 1 time loading a cat currently the A2 is my favorite because it can kick ass hold a tank and cargo and for its size its crazy agile

C1 and Cutlass Black are both amazing daily drivers. I like the Cutlass styoe and looks better, but I like driving the C1 better. I have a C1 to Zeus CL upgrade waiting touch, if the CL have a god flight model upgrading the cargo from 64 to 128 SCU is a no brainer.

Btw: At least you can have one (or was it even 2..?) handgun as a pilot in the M2, as they have this compartement between the seats (that all the Hercules do have) where U can store em. Better than nothing I'd say :D Maybe I'd pick a Cutter Base, as you can put a Steve in there, that has two weapon racks itself and you have a vehicle with you as a bonus. Think the Mule fits, too. Or without a vehicle you'd have double the cargo with 4scu and still have the gun racks in the cockpit. Don't know how much more QF Capacity the rambler has, compared to the Base and how big of a deal that is though... You could have 8 SCU with the Titan (but no vehicles, just hover-bikes and no gun rack), that is a very good fighter in it's class, too. Even more with it's higher mobility in 3.23 now. Personally I love the C2, as it has all that empty space where you can put so many different vehicles (having a Med-Rover for respawn will surely come in handy in 3.23.X, until they take away that feature after it has been Warbond-sold good enough, I bet ;D ) Update: They just announced that - for now - you can respawn in all medical Beds (T3 up to 20km, T2 up to 50km).

Pro tip : try the prospector for bounty hunting, you'll genuinely be surprise.

The avant-garde deserves so much more. It should be the most durable of the heavy fighters. That's how it was sold. In addition, its armament is not that impressive for a heavy fighter.

I just wish the A2/M2 kept at least one gun rack in cockpit hallway. Main reason i prefer flying around in my C2 rather than my M2, just annoying to run over to the armory for the weapons rack.

Why not talk about the caterpillar? In terms of efficiency I think it'll be the best since you can load/unload multiple boxes at the same time.

I always liked the Nomad....until someone likened it to a Skip, and that was that.

Zeus CL…better than freelancers, better than cutlass, way better than C1, better than corsair except for firepower but then again CL is dedicated cargo ship when Corsair is an explorer vessel. Arguably better than Taurus, and cheaper than most of these as well..Hercules is a cargo monster but as a daily is just unlivable being way too big and unwieldy plus hugely expensive.

I'm a huge Nomad fan and was honestly kind of insulted how you kept going on about no personal storage or gun racks when it has both. There's 2 gun racks at the door on the inside and a storage locker on your left before entering the hab.

Strongly suggest you redo this video from scratch. Nomad has gunracks inside, and the Cutty Black you showed was the 3.22 version with the old tractor beam outside (3.23 has relocated tractor inside). I stopped watching after the Cutty. Good topic though otherwise.

I think you overlooked/underestimated the RAFT. RSI forgot to advertise its single greatest feature, its QF tank. Pure cargo, 96 scu, great living space and a good tractor beam. Biggest thing (literally) is its QF tank, which is 9X that of the spirit. It can clear 1150 gm per tank with an XL1, or 1000gm more than a Spirit can. Price is $15 more than a cutlass and the same price as the C1. Definitely NOT a multirole though. (C1 is a dumpster fire of a disappointment in my book)

I kinda agree with others here, this video needs a redo... from inaccurate information to straight up leaving one of the best early cargo centric ships out its just poorly done. The Freelancer Max is almost a must early game to prepare yourself for how the C2 will handle if that is your end goal cargo ship. As it stands now I'm changing how I do cargo runs all together in 3.23.x I will be using my smaller ships to bring cargo from outposts to the larger hanger and then loading up the larger ship and going to the final destination. Will it cut into profits, yeah but thats already done a little bit by having to take a round about rout to the final destination to get around pirate hotspots.

if your not buying into at least the large ships, I probably would skip this patch, with the insane ship price increases you would take months of full time play to afford even a mid tier ship. worst patch ever for new players imo

tobii eye tracker is over priced, when you have cheaper better options AI head tracker with open track is less then 10 pounds trackir5 with delan clip is more acute and cheaper
