Whatever. I won't just meekly accept your ridiculous excuses. Deee lite is incredible and I'm sure they would have been amazing LIVE. It's bullshit to not let the artists REPRESENT.

Should have done to vocals live. 2 Reasons. 1. Her voice was better live than on this track. 2. the visual would have been better.

@@danadoozer9990 They were. They were more raw & seeing them countless times I always felt the recording limited her voice. They use tracks on TV shows for timing and so they know how it will sound & there won't be any mistakes. That doesn't bother me too much, what *DOES* (especially as musician) are bands these days who play live to backing tracks and even use lead vocal tracks. I'm not talking about pop crap either. I'm talking about 4 & 5 piece rock bands. It's fucking disgusting.

Actually I distinctively remember an American Bandstand episode where Dick Clark did openly acknowledge it was lip synched...if the song sounds exactly like the radio/record/tape/CD/whatever of course it's not a live performance. Of course if you're paying good money to go a LIVE concert OTOH...

This lady has the best costumes. And she looks lovely in them. A great dancer and I love her singing voice. Groove is in the heart. I couldn't dance for another. Sing it baby. I couldn't dance for another. Groove is in the heart and never get tired of this song because of her wonderful voice. Great dancing and not malicious , just lovely and delicious.

Amen. Though I love all three, I have noticed a surprising amount of respect bubbling up in recent years for 1994's Dewdrops in the Garden. It's widely considered to be a electronica classic amongst raverkids. And any of those songs could be played today and fit with modern records.

This is so cool, Towa Tei cutting up the one and twos, the energy of the crew, the charisma of Miss Kier, the hotness of JB, and the fact they were holding up a picture of Q-Tip during his verse wrapped things up! I would have loved to attend this show during this particular night. BTW, check out Towa Tei's solo works, specially 'Last Century Modern'. Superb work.

There is nothing unusual that this was lip synced. This is how it was done on shows like this going back to the 1950's. American Bandstand and later Soul Train would have the artist "performing" to the original song from the album. Sometimes you would see an actual live performance on one of these shows but that was not common.

The BBC would always say they didn't want to have to mic up the entire band since several people perform during one show. They also didn't like the fact that they didn't have control when people were live. And it's actually a standard practice even today
