I just drove 20 miles from work to home while listening to this in my car...I don’t remember the drive home.

It's amazing how the cello can play such a dark and melancholy sound, and yet sound so beautiful and haunting all at the same time. I find myself always coming back to this video.

The most glorious instrument ever

i am listening to this while the sound of rain and thunder echos around me, it is indescribable how good this feels

You can call me weird but I sometimes listen to this and stare in the dark and clear my head of all my troubles and stress as a form of meditation.

I've found my sound. I am dark, i am depressed, I am nothing. Here is where I belong. I am home in my darkness. No light, no shine, no air. Let it take over me.

Hearing a cello makes me feel like I’m making peace with my demons...sadness, anger, sorrow, all softly subsides and my soul is simply just still, at peace, with zero judgments... I can now rest. 🦋

It speaks of a time long ago at the edge of a forest, where wild things, untrammeled by man, roamed under a full moon and behaved in ways considered to be magical.

For when you have been through Hell and Back. Pain, Anger, Sadness, Grief. And you develop a Deeper Understanding of Life, and its Tragedies. And you can now, sit and embrace it, as it's become a part of your history. A part of you. A stronger you. 💀🖤

Dark Meditation Music should be a genre in itself.

These cello sounds stir me as I sit & ponder on the vast abyss- that is my current marriage.

Dark Moon, starless night, brooding clouds...Releasing tension, letting go of the past, attachments, projections, fears, worries and anxieties. Deepening into acceptance, forgiveness and surrender. Trusting in the healing process, allowing destiny to unfold in its own time. No more forcing, contriving or resisting the flow of the Tao... Feeling the weight of the body dropping down into the earth, as the burden of struggling subsides. Effortlessly abandoning questions and need for answers. No more craving. Only this moment, and the gentle ebb and flow of the natural breath in the belly. Exhale and relax. Let nature take its course. Relinquish desire, and rest in the presence of soothing sounds to gently ease your pain. All things pass, until only peace and tranquility remain, and the silence of the quiet mind.

I absolutely love cellos played like this. It's beauty...I simply cannot describe how peaceful I feel right now.

This has been our soundtrack for a year, when I ran a Ravenloft campaign to my D&D group. Needless to say that it got everyone in the mood and we had the most memorable sessions ever.

I tried to think of sth different while listening to this, but always the image of endless white comes into my mind. Arctic winds and heavy snow. Solitude. Never heared such a cold cello.

This is prob one of the most peaceful things I have ever listened to. I play cello and this is the "coldest" I have ever heard a cello before in my life.

The sound of cello is so special

You are right. Ive stepped into that season. Things changed so fast like from convistion to accusation. From assurance to doubt. The scripture condemns instead of help. Ive come far in a short time since the lord revealed himself to me but never have i thought id be in such a season. The enemy swapt what godly with whats ungodly. The spirit within is not of yah. I have resorted to silence and i believe its what HE requires of us. Silence the mind, the ego cause thats how how the enemy sneaks in condemnation. But one thing in heart is I LOVE GOD AND HE LOVED ME EVEN WAY BEFORE I ACKNOWLEDGED HIM AND HOW MUCH SO NOW THAT I SUFFER FOR HIM.

I know that we have all lived through many waves and turbulence, and now the sea has calmed down a bit and we need more peace and love for each other.

The concentration defined as "power of focusing one's attention or mental effort", is fully achieved with this call from the dark.

When I saw this eight months ago I immediately dropped what I was doing and walked outside...and kept walking. I walked through yards, over freeways, across fields, over mountains. I walked through day and night. I walked through hail storms, blizzards, and even a small earthquake. I'm back now. Good video!

I love being able to sleep to this, the low tones are so peaceful. A lot of other calming music on KZfaq have higher pitched notes like from piano and flute etc, and they make me wake up. Not that they aren’t peaceful in the right times, just not when I’m trying to sleep. 👍😴

Why are people calling this dark and sinister, and haunting, and melancholic. This is the sound of your heart beating at rest. Just visualize your heart echo into the world, sometimes we forget the odds of being alive. I'm so glad I found cello music, I've really been wasting so much time with different music, everything right now seems like noise and then the Cello like an old grandfather clock with a pendulum swinging and now I'm hypnotized. Who are all these people leading me away from my center? O future beloved, you will have to come to me🏔️I am the watcher of the mountain peak, bearing the scepter what must I seek? I am one with all desired, fill my coiffure with more Wisdom, this invisible gold the hounding thieves and wavering fools can never find. Hauntingly beautiful.

If I try sleeping to this I'll literally dream myself into the Game of Thrones world.

Lying here in my tent atop a windy mountian side, no moon tonight. Just the howling wind shuttering my tent as though frantically trying to get in. The howl of the trees and creaks of the branches. I hesitated on this, but its eerily soothing, borderline meditative. It stirs deep in my soul and i find my thoughts conflicted. How do i feel at this moment. And alas, it dawns on me. I feel nothing, but know i should. Why cant i feel? Its almost as though theres a void within my chest, and it never seems to fill. It sits, empty. Hollow; as hollow as the Cello bellowing its deep and dark symphony. Again, my thoughts are flooded with words, sentences and questions. No, a question. If the cello is hollow, yet creates such melody, can i too? Perhaps; perhaps

That reverb is an entity of itself. I want to fall into it

Sets a mood for sure

On a mountain of pain, in a castle of sarrow I sit on my throne of blood caressed by shadows. I have guarded the night for countless millenia. Always alone watching night after night for those who dare take this from me

The old, abandoned castle. Bright sunlight outside, All craziness inside. Love it.

Darkness does not exist. No matter where you are or what you're doing there is always light present, doesn't matter if you can see it or not, it's there.

I listen to this music when I study old bones: bioarchaeology and mummies are my cup of tea. I'm also a musician (singer and lute player) and love cello. Many blessings from Milan, Italy.

Why is this most reminding me about some apocalyptic world background where there is nothing else than darkness and dreadfull landscape of silent and emptiness?

Even though I've found the light, this music humbles me. We should not forget the dark exists, nor should we fear it. We come from the dark and rise from the light. The baby doesn't overtake its mother. The slave does not command its master. We have control of the light, in the dark. It cannot hurt us. It can only bring us peace and better understanding now.

I listen to this everytime i'm reading old gothic novels, always helps with the immersion.

Connoisseur level. Darker, deeper elements, moving forward in a profound manner. Of course, it could always be better, which can be said of anything theoretically, except of course for utter perfection, unless of course, perfection can be more perfect. But this last point could be superfluous, and a mute point, so why not enter it. It does ask an interesting question though, and would be a good puzzle for young philosophers to chew on. Actually, the great masters answered that question a long time ago when they realized that to try to further perfect perfection is to overwork what you are working on, but to do that, one of course first needs a clear sense of perfection. That is, to have the acuity to see perfection when it is present. Come Lord Jesus.

I do not consider this to be dark...it is comforting.

Eyes that open and glow in the darkness, watching as you walk past, then following you, keeping pace behind you where the only sound is the faint echo of your footsteps, and you have no idea where you are. They’re waiting for you to start running...

He saw the hammock rocking back and forth in the dark.. watching the sway in the breeze began to think about that sensation.. to swing so effortlessly yet it made no sound.. he turned around and sat on the edge, then positioned himself within its full length.. the motion soothing.. counting each time it went from left right to work out its natural beat.. that helped to soothe his mind at times.. calm his thoughts when worried or unsure.. Sometimes it was as if he could see music where there was nothing visible.. he didn't talk about it much because he didn't think people would understand.. Within his own private thoughts he was safe to explore the wonders of all that music had to offer.. around him his own family talked about things that didn't always interest him that much. He didn't feel he could relate.. on so many levels .. but within his mind was a private world wanting to come forth and be seen.. He lay with his hand behind his head and looked into the darkness above.. his eyes looking at the moon.. if the moon had a song to represent itself honestly.. what would it sound like.. would it include the feeling of weightlessness.. and yet still have a solidarity.. how would it express itself as both light and darkness.. which disproved the claims the two can't co-exist.. was there not a darkside to the moon? To have a darkside means to have a non dark side.. The sky itself displayed that dark and light co-exist.. for shadows themselves are only seen when a light source is introduced somewhere.. yet he felt much like the stars and the night sky some light source needed to be much further distanced. He didn't like the way some people viewed the dark. They didn't understand it. Appreciate it properly.. The light may serve its purpose at times.. but often people became blinded within it. Those within the light feared darkness so greatly and yet.. by being in the light they cast their shadows upon others.. yet they couldn't exist without the light in the first place. Oxy-moron he thought. Irony.. disillusioned, incredulous, those who appreciated the dark could see what was cast from the shadows of the hearts of the light-bearers ..

I do World War 1 battle scenes, and this is the music that I have been searching for, for some time now. I think I've finally found what I need to use when I draw these battle fields up.

Sitting on my front porch at 1am and taking hits off a GB to this... I was unsettled after a while when I realized that this music was forcing me to think of things I ignore, flaws in my life, my life goals, why I’m failing at attaining them, how I can get closer to them, all my little anxieties, paranoia’s, and insecurities... I almost turned it off. Great meditation music. Confront your ego. Temporarily tame and temper it.

This transports my mind to 'The Agony in the Garden' under a full moon and makes me meditate besides HIM.
