⚠️DO NOT MIX CLEANING SUPPLIES‼️ my mom did this while we lived in a condo (small bathroom makes this even worse) and she mixed cleaning supplies and it made this cloud of chemicals (similar to what happens during chroming) she couldn’t breathe, had to call poison control. she thought she was gonna die, please help careful !! edit: i think that she mixed ajax and clorox bleach .. not sure

I'm pretty sure that this was boiling water not in the iron bowl and it made the cloud because there was something at the bottom or just because it was boiling water

Better than what my mom did she mixed acid and bleach and was complaining about her eyes burning - I walked in couldn't breath and said " mom you made chlorine gas you need to get out of the bathroom " and she was like " I'll be fine let me get this done first "😭💀

Me too. Except for the overuse of products. This can all be achieved with less poisonous stuff. ed. oh and chlorine gets ruined with too much heat so that was a dud.

That's why she was doing it by measurements, if they're measured right there won't be much of a health issue. They were diluted by boiling water so it's okay.

@@Mimi-yn3yjthere’s not an accurate measurement to that. Especially when adding boiling water that will send the mix up in steam. At the very least, it’s an irritant, but at worst it can kill you.

Just a heads up Ajax has ammonia in it normally( most if thier products do, pretty sure that’s where the A in Ajax comes from) so be careful mixing with bleach cause if the toxic fumes and all. My boss used to mix Ajax and bleach and be coughing while cleaning because of the fumes and thought I was crazy even after I showed him how the back said don’t mix cause of fumes lol (he used wayyyyyy more than u do) Just looking out for ur lungs! Lol

@@lachatnoir1127 most black people always do. it does not hurt us. The only problem is if you mix bleach with another chemical and let it sit there. You need to go ahead and hurry up and add your water immediately. The water dilutes it and keeps the fumes from blowing up into your nose.

Hot water makes bleach less effective actually. It's best to use room temp water for the best results I've found :) Love the vid, I need one of those auto scrub brushes for my shower, dang!

It is great that you are cleaning her bathroom, but I recommend using a separate brush for the toilet bowl and then using something else for the seat because of cross-contamination.

I have a Rubbermaid power scrubber brush. It’s like a bigger toothbrush but it gets the small areas it runs by batteries. Also, a scrubtastic scrub bush with 3 brush attachments for larger areas and it is rechargeable.

The part I liked the most about this video were not the fancy expensive cleaning products but the fact she use boiling water on her mop bucket to mop the floors, its sanitary not just clean

Dint mix cleaners. For anyone interested, you could save so much money just buying bleach, a water bottle and diluting it to clean everything. Bleach and glass cleaner literally all you need (unless you have a surface that you cant use bleach on. I hear granite is particular about ehat you clean it with.)

Chemical engineer here and I definitely do NOT use a ton of cleaning chemicals. I find hot water on a rag handles 99% of what I need to tackle and then use hypochlorous acid for the rest (make it myself) because I have 3 little kids and 3 small dogs and it is safer than bleach. Maybe we never let it get dirty enough to need anything stronger than that? The only place I use sort of bleach or sodium hydroxide is our tiled shower grout occasionally.

Chlorine is activated with cold water, not hot water. Cold water activates chlorine & when activated it disinfects, deodorizes & cleans any surface

Actually, the warmer the water, the faster the chemical reactions. Chlorine is less effective under cold water conditions.

I don't like mixing the toilet scrubber all over my toilet seat. I only scrub the bowl, under seat and where the seat screws attached to bowl. I used reusable wash rags specifically for only whiping down the bathroom and spreak or submerge with disinfectant to wipe the rest of my toilet. Then toss the wrag(s) to wash and reused. I don't use paper towels just runs threw a roll took quick. Not a huge fan of the 2nd decor shower curtain and carpet. I am careful with chemicals. if you can't use it as is?, buy the right type. 🤷‍♀️ used separately is good but I wouldn't mix it. I like Mr. Clean for disinfectant. 🍋 Always like a clean bathroom that's for sure!
