imagine being high as balls and you put this on your vinyl when it first came out, I can't imagine how life-changing it was to just hear the opening of Speed King for 70s folks, because it was life-changing for me to see the live version they did on granada TV

A landmark album in the history of hard rock. I bought the album in the 1980's on vinyl (EMI's budget Fame Label). Subsequently got the 1995 anniversary cd remaster but it's great to hear that warm lp sound again.

Damn, Child in Time is amazing through a good set of headphones. Hell, even a cheap set.

I have first press vinyl of this album but I didn't realized that it had the previous owner signature at the front of the cover 😭 that's why I got it with very cheap price in 2003 🤣 before I was knowing how to rate the vinyl price

When I saw the title of this video I was curious as to which country's vinyl release of Deep Purple In Rock would be used. In the United States (Canada, too?) Warner Brothers edited out the part of "Speed King."

Never understood why the explosive intro to "Speed King" was left off of the US version didn't make a lot of sense...

"We're done playing psych rock, if y'all are wondering... "
