Saw them just last Wednesday in Rome. They played Lazy Sod and it was as good as the studio version, vocals, keyboard and guitar solos, everything. They are still an amazing live band. By the way, the singer and bassplayer both turn 79 this year, the keyboard player and the drummer 76.

Don Airey is a legend on the keys! His most known work is probably the intro to Ozzy Osbourne's Mr. Crowley. He was handpicked by the Mighty Jon Lord to replace him in Deep Purple upon retirement.

The song's inspiration came from an exchange between the band and someone who pointed out Dolly Parton's 5,000 songs, calling the band member a "lazy sod". The band member agreed and wrote down the exchange in his notebook.
