I think this squid's evolution specialised on particular prey which require's the weird body shape.

I like it. I don't think anyone knows what they eat yet. Two ideas of how they catch prey is by raking the ocean floor with the ends of their arms and tentacles or by nabbing things that happen to swim into them.

i'm going to take a wild guess and say that the only reason it can walk upright like that is because the deep sea ocean is very pressurized and dense. take it out of some pressurized place and it cant move. and it's probably a filter feeder
