In this episode we're fishing from the panga at a legendary spot 10 miles down the coast from Los Buzos Resort in search of wahoo. We're trolling a variety of lures and plugs and vertical jigging in search for one of the fastest (and tastiest) fish on planet Earth. We also get into yellowfin tuna and one kayak fisherman gets the ride of his life from a giant shark. Then, back at the lodge, we're showing you how to cook these delicious wahoo.

Robert run those Wahoo baits real short. Just outside the wash. They are not boat shy and when you start with 200yds out and hook one and they go another 200 they are so far back you will lose most of them. I like my outriggers at about 40 yds and my flats at 25yds. Violent bites man!!!!!!! ULTIMATE SASHIMI. PS I give the capt on your boat less than 10 more Hoos before he is hospital bound for mad stitches. Those things will jack you up so fast. One little mistake and its a bad deal

I am amazed the guide knew--and instructed the person, quite correctly, to not just "drop the rod" but keep it tight WHILE "reeling down", so many just let it drop creating slack-which is always bad. Good instruction. One thing I will add, as a right handed person, I use a "left hand" reel (not a spinner, which is correctly set up), so that I pull with my stronger right arm, reel with my left.

@@blaironeill7777 it’s a pretty easy trip to plan. They arrange hotel and transport to and from resort from Panama City all you need to do is get to PTY airport. As far as what to take I’d say take minimum gear, they will have most of what you need as far as poles, reels,life vest, radio etc. Tackle wise id take various jigs(speed jigs,flutter, buck tails) large and medium poppers, diving lures for trolling, large jerk bait lures, flourocarbon leader. I could keep going on but what I’d suggest is do some research before you put together tackle list. KZfaq is fantastic tool for researching tackle and Technique. I would highly recommend trip to Los Buzos great trip for reasonable cost

Want to do some simple fishing for king salmon. All of the ones I’ve seen you do are complicated. I have done some really simple fishing for kings. Also I’d like to see what you would rig for close shore fishing on Lake Michigan.

Yes, we cover up for protection from the sun. We used 50 pound line

I've been out for a bit and it is so nice to catch up on your amazing videos. Thank you so much for your content it has made me eager to get my own kayak and give this a go. though I do have a question. I see you changed out the lines you are using on the heavy reels. You always had this light blue heavy line and now I see its a different brown/bronze type of line? its more just out of my own curiosity but what did you change the line from and what to? South African fan here XD

Thanks Quintin! We didn’t change out the line, just a different reel with different line on it. Basically it’s hard to stay stocked with stuff here in the jungle, so we use what we have on hand. I forget what brand the bronze stuff is, but we use Tasline braid mostly. Good stuff

dude you guys are messed up... tuna that small isn't even a year old people like you guys that catch baby tuna like that screaming "ahhhh tuna tuna i got a tuna" getting all excited about catching a baby are the reason tuna is on the endangered list, if you were good human beings you would give the babies a sporting chance by putting them back and target the adult tuna give the babies back catch release at least you will actually get a fishing memory you won't ever forget fighting an adult

I see a lot of serious sun burned faces--maybe wearing the hat backwards? As an "old guy" who has had maybe 10 skin cancers cut off, let me tell you--don't do that. "Look cool" all you want--if you think it looks cool--but on the water, keep that shadow on your face, that's my two cents--take it from a guy who never bothered even wearing a hat, and who burned up his skin--and hurt his eyes too.

You must not watch much because they release fish all of the time, and these are edited videos so you don't see everything...besides the fact they are feeding a lot of people including all the workers. Why look for an excuse to be negative?
