Me and an old mate head to Kaikoura to get the boat in the water, catch a hapuka or blue cod cause the west coast is rough as guts.... www.dnaboats.co.nz Thanks to The Rodfather Fishing Charters and Hunting and Fishing Kaikouira

Barracuda are called Sierra here in Chile Josh. They are as wormy as the Kiwi version and yes, they love em. I once showed a few mates what they looked like freshly filleted and Im sure those guys wont touch it again. Bloody horrible fish to eat. As for the ducks your a bit early mate unless you West Coasters have an open season on the buggers.

from what I've heard you have to be careful leaving your car up in the pass to go tramping or hunting, there's a bunch of mongrels that have taken to breaking and entering anything left overnight, and sometimes in daylight as well. If nothing to steal they will just trash your car. You'd be lucky if your boat wasn't taken, or just stripped. Need a few local hunters to put out some shiny bait and make the problem disappear once and for all and send a message to the rest.

I'm based on the top of the south at the moment and was very curious to see what tools you have to naturally to build a survival shelter, what could you eat off the land. meat, fauna, insects etc. My dad and I love watching your stuff. You're a weapon mate.

so what is a red cod ..??
@kenniffss5 жыл бұрын
Like a blue cod... only... red! Just joking, nothing the same. Red cod flesh is mushy and soft, most people don't eat them, especially if you can have blue cod, which, imho, is the best eating fish in the sea, but I'm biased.
@fritters566 жыл бұрын
Love your vids and your style, but you have slang names for the fish you catch and being hardly any of the fish you catch are native here it would be nice to know what i want to say is the proper name for the fish. Of course I realize that the names for the fish you catch to you your using the proper names, but I can't look them up in any fish book with those names...lol
