This is the tech that will bring China forward to planetry mining and moon mining. Mining the minerals in space needs tech similar to these but at another much higher level. They are just getting started, but it's a good start forward.

Just astounding. How do these companies prevent "hacking" of their systems is beyond my understanding but anything tech is beyond my understanding. The cleanliness is also astounding when I compare it to coal mines elsewhere.

I had been to a coal mine in Shandong when I was working in China (2009） The mine is very clean from the upper ground ; we can’t imagine the mine operation is like 30 storey deep down under ground! They are using Switzerland high technology equipment, so no dusty at all! The hostels for the staff is exactly what is showing in this video, like university campus, so clean and the environment is very beautiful with garden. Good to know nowadays using China high technology equipment supplies by Huawei! I can see the improvements in China is amazing! thanks to Barette showing this video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This blows the common perceptions of nasty, dirty coal mines & bad working conditions. I doubt the US has anything like this. The company's investment in technology & provision of safe, healthy living/working conditions for the miners are simply mind-blowing but should be a gold standard for others to follow.

Wow! That was super amazing. The cost of installing all that equipment and digging all those tunnels, before they even start getting any coal. My wife had to go to a mine in Shaanxi, at a small village called Heshun, because coal mining was causing some cemetery area to subside and her grandfather's grave was sinking. The mining company invited us to meet them to voice the family's concerns and agreed to re-locate the graves to a more secure area, with all the gravestones and even built a small road leading from the village, as previously we had to walk across fields. We saw how much coal was being mined, as the roads had a constant stream of red coal lorries, sometimes in convoys of 20-30 vehicles.

China comes up with more surprises every day. I visited a UK coal mine 45yrs ago and came to the conclusion it was dangerous dirty, primitive and miners were not valued or justly rewarded. This video could cause a revolution if shown in conventional western mining societies.

世界上每年死于矿难的工人超过80%都是中国矿工，中国平均每年都有1000多人死于矿难，比美军士兵在阿富汗战场的阵亡率都高的多。这都不包括瞒报事故的，更多的死亡矿工连统计数字都进不去。中国的采矿业就是人类之恥，连非洲的矿场都比中国人性。

In the early 2000s, China coal mining was relatively low tech with a lot of mining accidents. Fast forward today, looks like they have completely flip things around to become the most advanced. Well done China, hope things will continue to move forward.

Actually, Huawei is now into mining (and many other things) precisely because their phone business was (almost) killed off by the US. Huawei had to branch out and find new areas of business. And mining was one of them. Today, Huawei has more or less resurrected it's phone business. And then on top of that, they've also successfully branched out into all these new areas of businesses (because of the US!! )

This might be a state-owned coal mine, which is why it's so advanced. Lots of private mines can be poorly operated and experience casualties once every few years. Hope every mine can be this advanced, clean, safe, and smart.

Actually there is no private mine now in China. several years ago, a number of small dangerous mines were closed. others were bought by large state owned mines.

Coal mining used to employ armies of miners. By investing in new technologies such as 5G, AI, cloud computing and automation, mining companies all over can afford to hire fewer miners and still keep a profit. If you can do another video with an expert about "Industrial Internet" in China that would be great .Because Industrial Internet also called Industry 4.0 is the new game changer in manufacturing ,because of this even if the labor cost is high you can achieve massive efficiency scales which can compete low labor cost countries. What you said is interesting topic, but I think there is another extensive topic to your industrial 4.0 revolution. I wonder how China deals with massive unemployment with their re-education program. This has a huge impact on every country at transition to industry 4.0. With the speed of how China adopts and its massive labor force who used to be cheap labor, I can only imagine the headache that the government needs to deal with.

Please make more videos of the workers, their working conditions, their wages & improvement in their living standards over last 3 decades. Do they have the right to form trade unions? What rights these unions have? What occurs when large numbers of workers are laid off due to any reason in a company? Do they find work easily, how do they cope? And what role does the CPC member in the board of a private company performs?

Hi Lee, Just a friendly suggestion. Shanxi & Shaanxi are provinces north & south of each other. They have different pronunciation. Google can pronounce them pretty well.
