Hey all!
I could not in a million years fathom how to animate Jacob Wysocki's enigmatic character Mister Mayonnaise. The task felt insurmountable. The duty on my shoulders seemed impossible to bear. The concept warped my brain just trying to understand the scale of the challenge ahead of me until i thought hahaheehee funny egg man and then i did it

Mr Mayo got a contract from the owner of that Dairy Queen, to take her out. He was going to turn her down, but while he was mulling over the notes he found her dislike of mayo and decided to do what must be done. Taking the advance from the contract, he promoted his deli within Dee Corporate, where she worked. The rest, as they say, is mayonnaise.

Oh man that escalating stack of mayonnaise, the more detailed close up as he waits for the mayonnaise to be on it. And the entire short king vibe of the character. So good.

I get the feeling Mr Mayo has a button below the counter that automatically locks the doors and activates signal blockers and if he ever gets a whiff, an _inkling_ that a customer might skip the mayo, he'll hit it just in case and only undo it when they pay for their mayonnaised sandwich

Also, love that Vic's character looks like Vic and Jacob's character is fully a different person. Elevates the dichotomy of this wild character against Vic's straight man role that it isn't Jacob in the scene but actually *the* Mr Mayonnaise.

I was wondering why he looks like an egg, so I looked it up. Apparently there's eggs in mayo which explains why I have an allergic reaction to it. My whole life I thought I was allergic to mayonaise and eggs but nope it's just part of my egg allergy 😅

that lil eyebrow raise and "okay" when vic makes their first attempt to leave mayo off their order is such a good moment here. watching the orignal episode that never stood out to me, but his expression here just radiates menace as you know that he's already clocked what's going on.

I don't know what video to put this on because it's just kind of a pervasive vibe binging all your animations but I know I felt it particularly strongly when I first saw Vic in this episode, with the perfect expression and hair and the little wings Your ability to somehow perfectly capture people's appearance in your art style despite, like, on the surface seeming like it doesn't include a lot of distinguishing features, is absolutely incredible. It's like the same skills behind caricature hyper-refined and being deployed tactically to suck you into the animation. Everyone in your animations in instantly recognizable, and that's a hell of a feat for literally any animation, let alone one that incorporates these sorts of elements of abstraction (I am very much not someone who knows a lot about art, so hopefully this is at least mildly coherent)

As a teen working in a sub shop, I had the opposite experience. I had Mr Mayo walk in, and proceed to demand me squeeze nearly the entire tube of mayo on the sandwich. It was a Tuna sandwich, it already had sooooo much mayo on it. People in line behind him were turning yellow. 20 years later and I still can't forget that sandwich.
