This is amazing! You can go down to almost 5000 ft!!! I think you are on to something! I always wanted a personal submarine, but none of them really dive deep enough I think to be viable. I live near the Monterey Bay with a giant underwater canyon, I discovered your video by looking for ways to explore it. Your Sub is the only DIY sub that can go deep enough to explore a good chunk of the interesting places I wanna visit.

What is the best frame construction for a submarine? And what's the difference between a submarine and a uboat ? And is it possible to use a GPS on 300m depth ? Ps: love your videos :)
@pieterveenders9793
@pieterveenders9793 3 жыл бұрын
I don't really get what you mean with your first question, what frame construction? There is no difference between a submarine and an U-boat, the latter is just the German word for it while the former is the English one. You can only use a GPS while at the surface, as soon as your submerge it becomes useless. While submerged a submarine uses a barometric sensor in order to sense the depth it is at, combined with sonar + a compass (and probably also an inertial and accelerometric sensor) for underwater navigation.
