"আম সপ্তাহের" শেষ দিনে আবার আমরা চলে এসেছি আমের জন্য খ্যাত চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ জেলাতে। শুধু যে চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ জেলা আমের জন্য বিখ্যাত তা কিন্তু না আমাদের দেশের জিআই (GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATIONS) অনুমোদিত ৪টি আম এই জেলাতেই উৎপাদিত হয়। প্রতি বছরের ন্যায় এই মৌসুমে খড়া ও অসময়ে বৃষ্টির জন্য এই জেলাতে তেমন আমের ফলন হয় নি। যার জন্য বিপাকে রয়েছে বাগানিরা। তবে বারি-৪ জাতের আমে রয়েছে সম্ভাবনা। শেষ মৌসুমের দিকে এই আসে বলে এর বাঁজার বেশ ভালো থাকে তাই এর লাভের পরিমাণও বেশি। বারি-৪ আমের মাধ্যমে কৃষকদের অবসাদ কিছুটা কমবে বলে আশা করা যায়।
