Here is an easy way to drag out a deer using the Hawks Crawler 4 wheel deer cart, in this quick video I go over the differences between a cart and a sled!

Yes, Papa thanks for sharing, and I'm an aging Baby Boomer who just dragged out a nearly 200-pound 8-pointer! It took me 4 hours, so I ordered one of these CRAWLERS and it's due to arrive today! We have another week of shotgun season open, so I'm going to put this together as soon as it arrives!

I've discovered the best of both worlds - Hawk Crawler Game cart and Sled. I use my Hawk Crawler Game cart for dry conditions and my sled (modified with added skies) for snow conditions. In addition to my Hawk Crawler, I had to drill an extra hole on the long handle and use bolts so the cart will not fold up on its own during use. The factory holes and bolts have trouble holding the weight under real life conditions. Hunt smarter not harder! P.S. The Hawk Crawler tires lose air so carrying a bicycle tire pump comes in handy.

You sold me on the crawler cart Papa R. I’m a disciple of the jet sled and use it to drag dozens of deer a year, but in many instances I realize the cart would be the better approach. Thanks!

I’ve got both. The sled works great on snow and leaves. I use the cart on two tracks on state owned land.

Great video. To your ratchet strap comment, I use couple 4ft pieces of romex electric wire. Easy to wrap around the frame or something. They don’t jingle and don’t have but one piece to loose. You can wrap a deer up twist like a bread tie and it doesn’t go anywhere.

@@paparomesoutdoors711 I hunt swaps of SE and not many hills but plenty of blow downs and thick stuff. Most annoying thing is when your cart flips. With the gear or game tied up with several pieces romex, just flip er back over and roll out!

I'm a new subscriber to your channel. Good review on that cart. The red gods didn't smile on me this deer season in Pa.Where I hunted that cart would work great. Rough terrain for this old man to drag a deer out. I'll have one for next season.

Solid rubber tires are not the answer. Not only are they too heavy, but just like taking a baseball bat and hitting a solid pole as hard as you can, the shock wave when you go over a bump goes right up your arm and shoulder if your are pulling the weight and you feel it. The wheel barrow tire bounces, and takes the shock so when you hit a bump, you do not feel it in your hand, arm, or shoulder. Best example would be to take two wheel barrows, one with a regular tire with air, and one with a solid rubber tire. Push them both full of weight and you will feel the difference in your arms.

MILLION DOLLER IDEA! Check out what ben packer and hipstar are doing. Compact and has the hip carriers. There designed to fit large bag packs in them. Be great to have since you can make them compact and carry them with your meat backpack. They are only rated at 80 pounds tho. We can't wait to see a similar design rated at 250 - 300 pounds that's 20 pounds and under , that's highly durable and bulletproof. I'd drop $1000 if it had a nice warenty. Just imagine them for long week hunting trips! JUST IMAGINE THEM FOR 1 WEEK TO 2 WEEK TRIPS :) One of the companies even has snow sled attachments for the wheels :) you just couldn't beat one that was ratted for 250 - 300 pounds. GOTTA HAVE AIRLESS BULLET PROOF TIRES! 🙂🦌🐐💪 Will be a hit for hardcore hunters thru hikers campers preppers and survivalists! Benpacked asks $1000 for Thiers and hipster hasn't launched yet but is asking around $400. Any of these hardcore pack hunting companies like stone glacier, exo, initial ascent, Barney's Alaskan packs, should start making these but way better than 80 pounds!
