@Jon Valler Depends on the shot really, any arrow in the heart/lungs/neck/head will kill render the animal unconscious/dead before it even knows what happened. Add the adrenaline spike the animal receives and it likely feels no pain at all. It's similar to how many people who have got shot didn't even know it for awhile until their adrenaline relaxes.

A true hunter. Is someone that kills non-endangered animals, and eats them. Not all hunters are like what you described. Nobody cares if it's an ethical kill or not, as long as the bear is dead, and it's meat isn't ruined.

@@RyanGambles11 for our own safety, yes. But if it dies before it reaches you, or something else nabs it, should it run away(depending on the species, age, and distance from the bear.) It still counts as a successful kill, bloodloss, shock, or otherwise.
