Defeat Everyone on the Nautiloid Ship - Baldurs Gate 3 [Tactician] (Zhalk, Cambions, Mind Flayer)

So this video will focus on how you can obtain the maximum experience and all the loot from the mind flayer ship in the prologue of Baldur's Gate 3. You will get Everburn Blade which is a really good two-handed sword two medium armors and a bunch of gold and potions. This is done on tactician mode which is the hardest mode of the game and you can use any sort of character and class to do this.

I've seen a lot of people push the middle button to wake the thralls then kill them, but you can kill them while they are still sleeping to get the same xp without the hassle of a fight

A risky but perhaps rewarding play is to use War Domain Cleric to allow for two attacks with the Everburn Blade in one turn using the charges

If you don't press the button 2:20 you can just attack these guys while they sit on the chairs without them aggroing. To attack neutral enemies press Ctrl+left click

@@sParrOwGaming513 yes you do. This is what I always do instead of triggering the fight by pressing the button as its just faster to smack them this way rather than in turn mode

I discovered by accident that if you split the party and the intellect devourer is away somewhere with one other person you can destroy the other one wandering around without issue! Also love the voice over, is that you or AI? Wild!

The intellectual devourer (Us) won't turn hostile if you kill the other intellectual devourer in one hit.

On my paladin character on Balanced difficulty I managed to kill Zhalk at 75hp, the mindflayer (unknown how much hp) and get the two Cambions down to like 30hp each with the 4 barrels. Later I attempted to do this on a new character and the barrels barely do any damage to anyone anymore. You have to get zhalk down to like 20hp now to guarantee the kill. Did they nerf them or something. Just feels like they used to do way way more damage.

mm, I think it's random, yesterday I had a run with it doing more than 30 damage to one of the cambions. This was on tactician as a paladin.

There's a dex saving throw for the explosion damage. If they make the save they take half damage.

There are also the brine bulbs above them, even if you stack the barrels, they don't always go off, but if they do, they add a nice chunk of damage as well I think.

How does Lae'zel get 15 damage per attack? I thought that she had 2d6+3 Slashing and 1d4 fire, you'd be looking at an Average of 1 fire due to resistance and 11.3 Slashing with great weapon Fighting I mean with Max damage roll before Crits you can get 15 Slashing and 2 Fire (27 and 4 with Crits). I mean, if you save scum every attack roll you could guarantee do it but that seems extreme, am I missing something like the height bonus for Thrown Weapon Damage?

give her the Everburn Blade, she does more than 20 damage with high rolls probably with crit. Yes, you are right, I'm save scumming here. It takes like 1 hour to finish the prologue every time I play haha.

@@sParrOwGaming513 fair enough, I hadn't thought of command disarm to grab the Everburn blade though that is likely going to become a part of my plans for runs in the future. I'm currently trying to complete an Evil run of Act 1 Solo which has been a bit rough but I have managed to assault the grove so it has been somewhat successful so far
