When Doc Ock gives that last look to Peter, we can clearly see that, in the end, he understood the gravity of the situation and, in order to save Peter, MJ and NY City's lives, decides to sacrifice himself by drowning the experiment and himself into the Hudson river

2:15 I don't understand why people think she's the only Spider-Man MJ to be hated, Because just because she's useless and can only scream, but in my opinion, she's still very strong and the same personality as Gwen Stacy, but only because the director did not allow it and also partly because she was not able to reveal the personality side as well as the depth and inner development of the character.

And this timeline was altered thanks too doctor strange!Meaning this didn't happen anymore.Preventing it and making a new timeline where doc studies the fusion reactor of tony too do a better good now.
