so, the 8:54 washer material, there are two main reasons why there are aluminum, fiber or or copper composite washers, they are equality important and then there are many more. Expansion rate of the material: you do not want to have big expansion differences between the washer and the material it is sealing. Reactants: so you don't want for the fluid (oil, engine coolant, brake fluid, other fluids) to start a chemical reaction with the washer. if you want to get even further in this you can easy find the history why Toyota made the "SUPER LONG LIFE COOLANT"

@BennysCustomWorks
@BennysCustomWorks 4 жыл бұрын
Ant S BKR6E .8mm gap, could also use BKR7E if it was on E85 or BCPR7ES if you want more tension on the ignition coil spring, basically the same plug but 3mm longer
@slicker9996
@slicker9996 4 жыл бұрын
Benny's Custom Works Does the effect of having more coil spring tension increase its efficacy in its ignition or make it more reliable? I've been having weird blowout issues on fullboost (15psi) on my 200kw 180sx and couldn't fix until i ran the smallest gap i could on the bkr7e (around 0.020?) but on cold idles i would run into misfires. Do you think it could be related to the spark plug gaps themselves or should i be looking into the actual coils(splitfires), given i have no history of its health and whatnot.
@BennysCustomWorks
@BennysCustomWorks 4 жыл бұрын
RoGG W sounds like either the coils are lazy or you have a power or grounding issue.. if it’s an S13 setup check how many volts you have at the coil connector, also check all your grounds etc and battery terminals. Can you check battery voltage during ignition break down?
@slicker9996
@slicker9996 4 жыл бұрын
Benny's Custom Works Voltage on the coils seemed fine last time i checked. Not too sure how to check voltage while I'm under full load though i will double check the grounds etc. Worded my question wrong i actually get engine stalling issues when cold (revs like to drop till it almost stalls) which I'm assuming is from the very aggressive gap i have just to temporarily fix it, i find it odd that if a coil or two is failing i would get misfires or stutters in general but under full load feels like I'm hitting a rev/boost limiter.

@@slicker9996 funnily enough your problem sounds exactly like the problem im having, im going to go through all the wiring because the only thing it could be When i got a tune everything ran perfect but when they pulled it back into the shop after testing it started stalling randomly cold and hot. For some reason when the thermo fans turned on it would idle without an issue but as soon as you give it a little throttle it would start doing the same thing again.
