The entire ground support systems of IAF is developed w.r.t to Russian, Israel and Indian systems. Integrating these systems with F-35 will also major headache for IAF.

What i believe in major contributing factor to increased per hour flight cost of Fifth gen is erosion and replacement of RAM multilayer coating. What if we premise our RCS acceptance level which may be detectable in EWR like best fifth ,sixth gen fighters but difficult to achieve Target grade lock on them and by the time they finish or out of ADZ. American jets have never been a prior option to India. Idealy Russian jets are most suitable for IAF , we can think of purchasing a dozen of su-57 before even thinking of f35

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the 1.5 trillion dollar figure is grossly taken out of context, it'll cost 1.5 trillion dollars over a period of 60 years for all 3 branches to include procurement, training, spares, weapons etc. By comparison if you were to take all legacy jets and compare costs that would be 4 trillion dollars. Thus F-35 actually saves money in the long run

Although the F-35 is a modern 5th gen aircraft and technologically very advanced but the pricing it comes with and the usability in the Indian context are some factors that f-35 cannot be a good purchase Aslo reports have shown that the US can make the aircraft unusable if they feel like even after the sale Like seriously??

The near future is I.T. active combat, meaning hacking of enemy weapon systems software incld.radars, etc.even satellite monitoring stations, entire communication network, navigational systems, even banking & financial systems. A few days back the server at Mumbai's prestigious Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport was down resulting in total chaos.Imagine what this can cause to military software or even financial systems of any country.

India has to spend huge money in R & D. Indian Private companies won't invest in Fighter Aircraft technology unless there is an agreement with IAF for confirmed purchase. China is making all defense equipments on its own. How long can India buy from foreign country ADA & HAL should work like international companies.

Squadron kam ho rahi hai, lekin IAF ke paas koi plan hai kya ? I would say, try to go for F-35, and invest more resources in the 4+ gen fighter. We should focus more on 4th gen to replace Bisons ASAP.
