What annoys me the most about the Zoe video is that she portrays her videos as a sort of “critical pov neutrally based” but specifically the blackpink video is full of her prejudices against women who dances comfortably and having fun in stage. Her video shows that she thinks that their sexualization is valid just because they use mini skirts and a bra, the way she justified the hate they receive everyday on social media is INSANE. 4. On the topic of concert "mess", my gawd... I keep seeing people like her using the same 5 second clips from different angles from the D1 in Seoul as a drag. Like personally when they made mistakes, accepted it and worked hard to bounce back up made me feel super connected to them because its relatable. Not to mention as women we have to go through a horrible time every month. And the weather got to them bad. They were sick for quite a lot of shows hence the lip sync. But unlike many groups they at least don't hide it.

It's always funny to me how people say yg is buying views or whatnot because 1. If that were true, why would stay have such fewer views? And 2. Just look at the attendance to their concerts. Look at their streams. Everything is matching. It's so crazy to me how BP is the group they wanna accuse when they have everything- streams, sales, views, successful sold-out concerts, etc.

I didn't even sit through a few minutes of that video, as it bothered me and I was upset. As it has been for you, these 4 girls have helped me through my deepest and darkest times and still do. They really help me get through my day everyday. I wake up to their content and sleep with their voices in my ear. I'm nearly 60 years old and trust me I have seen a lot of this world but it took these 4 beautiful souls to give me strength and bring music back into my life after about 13 years of music-silence. Being from an older generation I don't understand this online hate and how much people condone these girls especially. I was so emotional and in tears while watching your video defending them so genuinely and with so much respect. Thank you again for all the valid points you made. I would add that their concerts are meant to be for them to have fun with us Blinks... not to prove their talent (which the world already knows), and I think they do a very wonderful job of entertaining us every time they are on stage despite whatever may be going on in their life. So.... I had noo idea that Zoe's video was going viral and it makes me have mixed emotions. I was actually a bit sad that her too saw blackpink that way, considering I'm a fan of her videos, but seeing the way she potrayed blackpink made me clearly understand that the researches that she did were clearly western based. Example that explains it quickly is the fact that she mentioned Jennie being an actress (in a very controversial drama may I add), but not Jisoo whose drama is already out, very loved and appreciated. The concert clips I will never speak on because I wasn't lucky enough to get to see a show, so I can't know if that was a 5 second on a 1h30 performance or many mistakes in one set, but what I can say is people going say that it was good, hella expensive, but good. The lip syinc is honestly dumb, I don't know why people would expect the main dancer to perform the whole song live when she has never sang that song live in a stage, making it pretty clear that it was a dance based performance. Not only that she added things that people liked like pole dance because she knows she won't perform it all live. Jennie on the other hand, NOT being a dancer forced herself to do more complex choreography to the blinks and the fact that she performed an unreleased song was an extra gift for the fans. I didn't appreciate that she talked about how they look, when they constantly show that Rosè has always been eating a lot of healthy food and has always been very skinny and now she is doing different workouts so she he kinny with biceps like her, Lisa too has always been skinny, jisoo is abs queen and jennie is lean queen. Not the girls talking multiple time how it's easy for jisoo to get abs, yet she also said that is easier for her to gain weight (compared to the other girls) if she doesn't workout. There were many things that while true are very narrow-minded, like it's true those ten seconds that jisoo messed up, but the fact that she is the most consistent in vocals and many of the clips when she messes up are after her singing, is true too. I said it before and say it again blackpink is not overrated, they are overhyped and the reason is this, because they get hate even if packaged nicely like this and people either look them up to see those things or to defend them. Those girls are the sweetest so thank you for your video
