What a moron, you can't showcase control if that control is done at a pitch that normal people can also control. That is just absurd. If you strain then it's not belting anymore, if you can sing it at the original key then you need to able to say that you did it without risking. Rearrangement only makes the song easier and more fit, it doesn't make it the better version.

You can't say that singing in the original key is screaming, you can't scream an entire song. If one can sing like the original, he is already a very good singer. Rearrangement doesn't make you a better singer, it only gives you better performance than what you would've done, if they can sing it on the fifth, they can also sing it like this guy, it's just easier than the original.

Why would he do otherwise in a competition? -_- Still doesn't take away from the fact that he gave a great performance and the proof is that he won. Can’t agree more. Nowsaday ppl think singing well is solely hitting high notes but some high notes are just too sharp (yelling) which i can’t really stand. Kyuhyun sings perfectly here.

I think it's because they have time to rest. Before they enlisted, they're busy with album recordings, music show, concert tours, interviews, and various variety shows. So when they finally enlist, they are only focus on army. Maybe still practice but not that hard like usual.

Rara Ratna yup maybe, they got time for themselves more... and maybe like eunhyuk said, when he was in military he sang suju songs all by himself full song. That might them as well... because they have much more to show and they shine while in military... And kyuhyun really did great job 3rd consecutive wins HE DID IT ✨✨✨✨✨😍

But he didn't receive much spotlight back then ((even though his performances were magnificent nonetheless)) since singing related shows were not that big compared to its popularity now. I recommend checking Kyuhyun's performances in Immortal songs (I really love "Etude of Memory"), his solo at super shows/smtown concerts, his live performances such as "As Time Goes By", "Snail", "That man", "Nothing's better", "Snow flower", his other sukira lives, and this goes without saying, his OSTs ("listen.. to love", "way to break up", and "hope is a dream that doesn't fall asleep" to name a few) EDIT: Please check out kyuhyun's solo from yoon jong shin monthly project (2011), "Late Autumn", not mentioning this song is blasphemy for his other performances.

There are a very select few people who can actually sing in 4 octaves and out of all the Singers in the US, only the exceptionally talented and gifted Singers such as Ariana Grande can do it. Adding on to this that he did not even go close to showcasing the vocal range of 4 octaves in third video.

He is so smart when he sings so he prefers to sing in his supported range that is His lower and mix voice And he tends to sing less with his high notes and use a lot his head voice when he is doing it to create a voice more consistent.
