Defined Autoworks 4 rotor visits Mazzei Formula & HP logic w/ TRC!

Music- The Travelling Symphony by Savfk
Took an exciting trip to visit David Mazzei with his famous Formula 7. Hitting the streets of Birmingham Alabama to cars and coffee, then drive over to Barber Motorsports Park for a day at the track. Pro-driver Bryan Leonard takes the wheel to gain his thoughts and impressions. Afterward I head to Palm Beach Florida and reunite with Jacks 3-rotor yellow Rx7 (my original engine from the green machine). TRC joined in the craziness and did a comprehensive feature on the green beast GT-700.

I litterly had a conversation with another subscriber about these 2 cars getting together. Crazy. Both cars are dream builds. I can't pick a favorite.

Talk about a bucket list event. The two most badass 4 rotors in the US that a fully functional in one place? Wish I could have been there!

really loved the interview, and how he describes the car's handling and the confidence it gives you. job very very well done Logan. might I just say: torque is for when you want to tow your house to the beach

@@GTORx7 lol, I watched it 3times already....yeah its that good. would love to know, what times is possible, if he have more time, and made a few suggestion on tweaking it.

@@adinlouw he feels very confidant in a 1:28-1:29 if he had more time driving and playing with setup a little. I plan on going back for a nasa race next year and see what I can pull off and what he can do. Bryan will also be coming to Ohio so we can get some mid- ohio track time too.

I enjoyed all the vids by varies channels of your visit to David and Jack and TRC. lol, its a nice time filler since Seven Stock didnt happen this year.

Rotary engine always make big smiles and enjoy on racing cars fan... The two MAZDA 787B and the only one 787 made the same effect on me in 1991 at Le Mans... 🔊🤓💯🏁🏎️🤓🇨🇵

I can’t believe the standards you set your build to, it’s truly a pro job you’ve done. Seems like a Mazda factory level of engineering. I said it before but I really love how your engine has the 3:3 misfire idle like the R26b did in the 767 and 787. Can’t wait to see some more content and good luck with your race events!

Nice. My type of people rotards that love Roadcourses. This is what the Japanese engineers worked so hard for in the Fd chasis. Great build Logan. Both of those rotary cars seem to be well sorted out and must be a blast to drive at the track. Brap on and keep up the good work. I would love to see some videos of the car on the track

People can mention Rob Dahm when he actually has a Rotary that can hold together for more than a month without some type of major problem.. Logan's 4-Rotor on the other hand just keep going and going like the Energizer Bunny even though he beats the shit out of it.. While Rob's build is cool and all, its kinda been a 5-year shit-show if you ask me.. Yeah it seem to finally be starting to come together a bit, but I still question the integrity of the build, but we'll just have to wait and see how the car holds up.. He certainly invested a ton of money thats for sure.

How did you acquire the engine and all those NASCAR parts? Also, what did you study or work at that gave you the knowledge and experience to be able to create a car like this?

The engine I built myself about 8 years ago, build them for customers too. As for the nascar parts, had a friend who worked on a team. They sell parts every year and the public can buy them actually. My past knowledge/experience would take a while to list, but honestly the major contributer is very strong perseverance and God given talent. A lot is done on the fly and with educated guesses.

@@pelican226 The machining time for the custom eccentric shaft and stationary gears takes the longest. But on average it takes me about 5 months. Base 4-rotor starts at $28,000 bare motor only.
