D11's are a top shelf performer. Driving them with a 40 year old AKAI DC Servo 35 WPC amp and a WiiM Pro Plus and the results are outstanding. FYI, stands matter with these.

I think the D11 sound smoother and softer like there is a cloth muffle over the tweeter vs the other tweeter. Next the d11 hits lower and has less midrange. the Monitor Audio Studios lack bass but have a fuller sound and a more realistic sound. Just like my deftech bp2006 the d11 have a hard time producing cymbals, high-hat sounds its like a background noise vs something to be heard.

I like you comparing two different brands of bookshelf speakers. I am interested in know the titles and artists of the three songs you played for the demo of the speakers please.

With the passive radiator on the top of the speaker, does it mean I can’t put magazines or the front grill or just anything on the top while listening? Thanks.

Nice review! How do you like it as regards to Polk Reserve R200?

All speakers need some break in period, and if they sound quiet good after taking out of the box, I can`t even imagine how they will sound after 100 hours. Polk Reverse R200 has recieved great praises and some people even compare them to Kef R3 and say Polk is better. Well , I would like you to let me know, if you don't mind , of course, in which regards Def Tech D11 surpasses Polk. I'm about to buy them and I'm familiarized with the brand, since I've got def tech sm45 and they are pretty good! Thanks a lot!
