Me and my sister used to see the Deftones ANYTIME ANYWHERE they would be playing here in jersey. It was “ our thing “. I couldn’t even count how many Deftones shows we have seen all together honestly. The day White Pony came out we waited in line at some record store hours from where we lived to buy the album , meet the band, and have them sign it. One of my fav days with her. She overdosed and died 2/27/2018 Now I listen and it’s so emotionally attached I cry most of the time. Thank you Deftones for giving me so many amazing and cherished moments with my sister ❤️

I'm a 27 year old who only just now found Deftones and man...This music has captured me. The last week or so I've had Around the Fur on repeat non-stop and now White Pony is the current obsession. This song though...Holy shit. Hard to put into words how amazing this band is, they have such a distinct sound and I'm so grateful to have come across their music.

I'm 31 I remember this entire era. Viva La Bam, motocross and skateboarding video games endlessly and just the time of pure adrenaline and not giving a shit of what people thought about you.

It's Christmas morning in 2000, my mom is cooking breakfast for our family and the house smells great. I'm in my room playing Dave Mira Freestyle BMX on my brand new Dreamcast. This song comes on and my 10 year old mind expands forever.

When you're 16 and this song comes on, and you think this feeling, this moment, will last for ever and you blink and it's twenty years later, and you're listening again and you're exactly the same person but you have a child and a daily grind and you've left all your dreams of youth behind. This pain of remembering is the true meaning of nostalgia.

Its hard to call deftones nu metal, post grunge, alt metal or shoegaze. There is no other sound like them. Thery are simply just deftones and are they are undeniably amazing. RIP Chi Cheng

this was my first time listening to deftones… it seems like this is pure art. usually i don’t think of music as an actual art but this is really it. i feel like this band is comprised of music nerds, almost like each member of the band is equally talented

Some of the most underrated instrumentalist in the nu metal/alt/'grunge' scene. Abe and Stephen are amazing at the drums/guitar. And of course RIP Chi.

Theres a lot of songs where you wish you could hear it again for the first time, but I think the re-playability of this song is what makes it really great.

Words can't describe how this song makes me feel. Such a profound feeling of nostalgia and loneliness. Instantly takes me back to being 16 years old, every strong emotion, the world ahead of me and no idea where I was going. Soon I'll be forcing my kids to listen to this and verifying the vibe check.

I discovered these guys when i was a freshman in high school, back in 2011. I dont even remember how I found them, all i know is it started with Change (in the House of Flies). I listened to that track non stop for daysss. And then i discovered more songs and they were my favorite band for years. I've stopped listening to them as often, but every once in a while, one of their songs comes up again and it stops me in my tracks, and I reminisce. This is the song that did it for me this time. Man, i had such good taste!

Deftones got my mother through some major stuff. She was admitted to a drug rehabilitation program and I have her White Pony to listen to. She said that's all she listened too and it helped her get straight and out. Sadly she died a year later and I buried her with all of the Deftones cd's up until 2012. She loved this band.

This Never gets old. These guys are timeless. The sound is unmatched by anyone. 47 and its been 20 plus years. They still give me the chills..

Saw these guys at Ozzfest in '99, one of the best days of my life. What a line-up: Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, Deftones, System of a Down, Slipknot, Static-X, Fear Factory, Coal Chamber, Pantera, Slayer, Primus, Godsmack, etc. My two friends and I were walking around during Sabbath and saw a couple of guys riding bmx bikes. One of the guys busted his ass and we started to laugh but then realized the two guys were Chino and the drummer (forget his name). At first they denied being who they were but after talking for a minute they realized we were real fans and then shot the shit w/ us for a good 10-15 minutes. Even gave us autographs!

Well, this is my first time and this is awesome, I love it Edit 1 year later: I listen to the Deftones usually, almost everyday, they are definitely something more. They turned my favourite band since December 2021 and some of their songs get suck in my head all the day :D Some of my favourite ones, not in order are be quiet and drive, minerva, swerve city, riviere, rosemary, cherry waves, xerces, rx queen, change (in the house of flies), pink maggit, teenager or korea. I want to learn how to play some of them in the guitar :D

The thing I love about the Deftones is that they always were and always will be timeless. Even with how they dressed, there was never a phase they can look back on and be embarrassed about. Always a class act.

So in High School I put my Deftones CD in my friends car. Play this song and he asked what it was and I said Be Quiet and Drive. He hit me in the mouth and I said no its the song. My favorite punch ever.
