Actual tuning C# G# C# F# so the A D G strings tuned a 1/2 down and the E string tuned 1 1/2 down

@@skipa4148 mainly if you're like me and want to improvise or play anything else of this album because it's mainly in that tuning and if you're not good with palm muting sometimes you'll get the A ringing

To echo my reply to @Man-With-Bass 's comment: The tuning for this is traditionally called "Eb Drop Db (E-flat Drop D-flat) . To explain: E Standard is normal tuning, and Drop D is normal with E-string is dropped 1 whole step down to D. Eb Standard is all strings down 1/2 step (so E-flat, but strings still "standard" compared to each other), and then in this case, drop the Eb down 1 whole step to Db. Unfortunately most tuners only show sharps (not flats), so it is common to see it written as @Man-With-Bass has it in his comment. Cheers all, and thank you for this video!

By “drop d tuning (1/2 step down)” do you mean Drop C#? I’m not a bassist I’m a guitarist but this is one of my favorite basslines so I guess that’s why it’s in my recommended. The tabs seems to be correct so I guess that might just another way of saying Drop C#. Idk I’ve just always heard people call it Drop C#, maybe just me idk but I’ve been playing guitar for quite a bit of time now. And another thing, you don’t seem to be doing as many slides as are in the actual song but to your credit your are following the tabs but it always sounded like slides at every note change to me.

Okay, goofy's this is how this works.If you tune your guitar down to drop.D and then take each one of those strings.And go down a 1/2 a step.Guess what you got.That's what my man is trying to say here

The sheet music wrong if its tuned to drop C# 0 on tab should be C# on bass clef. I’m not trying to tune my bass to drop C# when i already got a five string

Its correctly notated and played as though its in Drop D. He could have been extremely clear and written "pitches sound 1/2 step lower than written". This type of transposition is very common in these types of tunings. Literally all guitar music is notated this way; "pitches sound one octave lower than written" is standard. As for the five string, good for you?
