@@PremiumUserUltradont disrespect sergio diamond eyes being his first project in the band is almost unbelievable and some of the band's best works are with him. rest in piece chi but both were just as much a part of deftones as the other. what they did to sergio was not cool at all :(

Same here 25 years ago, a highschool friend askme if I knew Deftones and I laugh and say something like I dont knowthem but sound very old like in the 50s. Next day he gaveme a mixtape whith all Adrenaline and Around the Fur and some Coal Chamber songs, I was inmediately hook and from that day to now Deftones is my favorite band of all time..

Root in my opinion, is probably one of the more playful songs on the album, mostly because of the fast picking riff. It's not a particularly hard riff to learn, it's the picking speed that can be hard to get down initially if you're not used to it. If you've played the bridge and ending of the song wrong the entire time up to now, it'll be an adjustment

album play-through completion so far: adrenaline: 9/11 white pony: 3/12 (counting mini maggit and boys republic, not counting teenager) saturday night wrist: 1/10 (not counting u,u,d,d,etc. or pink cellphone) diamond eyes: 9/11 gore: 2/11 ohms: 6/10 around the fur, self titled, and koi no yokan: complete i hope we eventually get some oldschool tracks from like linus though 🤘

Our generation was truly special and i pity everyone that came after us. Walking down the halls of high school my big ass CD Player listening to this the day after i bought it at Media Play seems almost like remembering a dream i had and wished i never woke up from. White Pony broadened their fan base awesomely so, but Adrenalin and Around the Fur were two albums that definitely introduced me and I'm assuming many others to those few special friends that became like your family. Without music, life would be a mistake

This immediately grasped me and sucked me in. Lifelong DEFTONES fan from that moment. I believe I was in between 6th & 7th grade, I'm a 39 yr. old drummer now & still LOVE the DEFTONES.
