Do y'all remember that aisian woman on extreme cheapskates? The one who would dumpster dive for food and feed ot to her friends? Well she's actually a really wonderful lady who leads a normal life. TLC literally tricked her into believing that the show was a comedy show, not a reality show. Practically every over the top thing she did was what the producers told her to do under the guise of "comedy". That poor woman's life turned into hell after the show aired, and she couldn't even fight back because of the nda, but a couple years back she decided to violate the nda and expose the truth about TLC's inhumane practices.

@@thereisnofinishline5773 well I never expected to reply to something like this but if I'm correct it's been reported TLC often liked to take things out of context, leave out context and get just the right amount of probing of the inviduals to get their takes to make the people on the show look way worse. Like actively encourage their bad behavior if I'm correct or at least make them redo takes to make them look worse for people to laugh at. They're manipulative even if the contestant signed, its like saying a abusive boss that gaslights you isn't manipulative because you applied to work there. No they're still manipulative and scummy people. Sometimes it is the people on the show being just bad people but sometimes its just outright manipulation to make them look bad. Theres videos online of people on their shows talking about what they did and giving proper context I believe. I worked at a grocery store during the Extreme Couponing fad and it was an absolute nightmare. So many Karens. We had a mom and daughter with 4 carts each come in 20 minutes before closing time on a biweekly basis. You'd have to close off a whole lane for 2 hours, ring up 700 coupons until the store owed THEM money, and still have to call the manager bc they're ready to raze the store to the ground for a 10 cents off coupon for canned cat food that expired yesterday bc it's now after midnight and the coupon has turned back into a pumpkin.

It's so weird to me that you're allowed to use infinite coupons in American supermarkets. The supermarkets in my country don't allow you to use multiple coupons at once for the same product and the coupons themselves are also limited to a maximum of 4 per product.
@MaiCohWolf2 жыл бұрын
@@haroeneissa790 It's interesting to me that that's a national law someplace not to use infinite coupons. My grocery store chain put up with it for several years before finally making a store policy that you can only use 2 coupons per product, and putting limits on the number of products you can get at once. I guess they were tired of getting complaints from customers who would arrive at the store in the morning to pick up a thing of cereal for breakfast only to discover that the entire cereal aisle was cleaned out by 2 people 5 minutes before and we won't have stock for 3 more days. I also love that I didn't even have to mention my country for you to know that I live in the Divided States of America.

Olivia's wedding was absolutely great. I loved it very much. It felt like God himself has planned this all out. That being said, the cake looked a nanomillimeter smaller than I imagined cakes to be, and had a small, miniscular hole in it that nobody should give a s#!t about, and yet here I am b1tch1n about it like a little, picky baby. Like, no Olivia, I don't care if that same hole was used to fill the insides of the cake, a hole is a goddamn hole! And that means... Hm, I'd say it, the wedding, deserves a four. And they buy and reuse ziploc bags. Why not buy the ones that are made to be reused? A few extra bucks at the start, but you won't have to replace them as often. Half the time if they looked into the past or checked in with "green" folks, they would get tons of tips that would save them money just from doing things on their own or being more environmentally friendly. Like the guy washing his clothes in the hot tub could learn to make soap and go old school with a wash tub. Way cheaper than running a hot tub. Even raising your own chickens for eggs is a great way to save money.

@Darklord1201FTW Жыл бұрын
Ofc you’re defending her cuz you’re weird too. What possess you to keep roaches as a pet
@Fable999 Жыл бұрын
@@Darklord1201FTW that's a great question! Contrary to popular belief, there are thousands of different roach species, most of which aren't pests and don't spread disease. The main ones I keep, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, make for great display animals for their size. They're much easier to maintain compared to fish or reptiles, maintain their populations easily, don't bite,, and are as clean as the enclosure they're kept in. Long story short, they're just easy and harmless pets if cared for responsibly. Because cockroaches are a whole are renowned for being pests, most people tend to think that all species are bad, and I can't blame them for that. There really are some amazing ones out there. I absolutely recommend looking up Australian burrowing cockroaches, ladybird mimic roaches, and question mark roaches. They're neat!

TLC is essentially the Circus Sideshow Channel. These are real people with disabilities, lives and families but stories and scenes about them are edited way out of context because if left in would illicit empathy, & the entertainment wouldn’t be shocking and attract the crowd! So Step right up and view the Obeese, the “little people” the man who lives in skin crawling squalor, and the “weird” people with bizarre hobbies. you view them through the little window and recoil in awe and disgust feeling a little better that “at least I’m not THAT bad” And then you move on with your day.
