DeHaven opened up to VladTV about facing life in his federal case and deciding to take it to trial after seeing the discovery papers and realizing they didn't have anything on him. He explained that he was previously convicted of several minor drug charges and he left the game three years prior to his indictment, which DeHaven said ended up saving him. DeHaven also spoke about Jay-Z's associate Emory Jones being indicted in the same case and learning that the feds had wiretapped Jones' phone. To hear more, hit the above clip.

They knew I was innocent too, they offered me a diversion to dismissal... which is be good for 6months and you’re done. I said no, trial. The entire time- my Pretrial they mediately put me on federal parole and onto the face program where I had to call Lyn- every day to see if I had a drug test if my phase number had come up, I had to go to mandatory drug counseling and therapy and all the other programs that the parolees were in and I have never been convicted of a crime. They violated my constitutional rights and at the end of all of it they ended up dismissing all of my charges because I demanded themThe grant me my sixth amendment right to face my accuser. And they said that they could not locate the key witness however I know exactly where he was but there was no evidence because it never existed.
